XO syabu2 Smile Jun 23, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hotpot | Seafood

XO syabu was one of the first steamboat places i went to.

Their set which costs RM54+ has nearly everything, from vege to egg to meat to noodle. Special mention is the durian puff (the fried one in the plate) it is oh-so-delicious! warm durian melting in the mouth coupled with lovely fried to crispy sweet on the outside, I actually went back the second time just for that.

Pour everything into the soup, wait for it to boil ... voila! everything done! lovely meal, drink the soup as well, it tastes just right, not too saltish/sweet. their sauces range around 11 types, the xo sauce is nice, should give it a try.

QQ snowmix Smile Jun 23, 2012

QQ snowmix is the latest dessert craze in town , hailing from taiwan.

as you can see, the place is always packed. Love their call system, a little telephone that will light up and vibrate like a real handphone when your product is ready.

Their famous dessert, with some black jelly ice and also taro ball. i find their taro ball's nice, not too chewy like eating rubber, but lacking the taste of yam. the ice jelly is lovely, perfect to cool down a hot weather. Recommended? I think so smile

Lovely North Indian Food Smile Jun 18, 2012

I used to patronize Kabul even before the prices went up, and was surprised to see the portion had not increased. Ah. Inflation...

Kabul is a really nice place for Indian food. its also easily accessible via LRT @ sentral.

Their butter chicken is awesome. The butter gravy is heavenly. I have one grouse though, for close to RM10, the portion of chicken is simply...measly. It cant even fill my tummy!

Naan, garlic and plain. Its also nice.

They also have chicken briyani, the chicken is in the rice. It was very good as well. smile

Sushi King  OK Jun 18, 2012

In this country, sushi is a hot commodity. No wonder the "Fast food " version of sushi also appear, in the form of sushi king.

Sushi King is famous for their kaitan belt sushi. For me, I find their sushi ok, freshness mediocre, but the choice limited.

The cheaper ones like tuna sushi are expensive, make me feel like making my own sushi... :/

Curry rice! in Sushi King. Guess they have to cater to asian palates too... smile

Chinese food Smile Jun 18, 2012

Walking through Sungai Wang, sometimes I rue that there is no new stalls.

This time, I tried Chinese food at Xian Ding Wei, because they have daily deals.

Their food comes with a drink ,either normal or milk tea depending on which set you order.

It was around RM15 or so. I personally found the food to be appetising, and I loved the set meal design and the hot soup. The chicken was good too smile
