TGIF  Smile Jun 23, 2012

Everyone is surely familiar with TGIF, which offers American food. Prices are slightly higher as well.

I want to mention about their macaroni cheese balls, a type of appetizer. This is the food that I remember the most long after I had left the place. The crispy breadcrumbs outside and the hot cheese and macaroni that melts inside your mouth when you take your first bite just is heavenly.Tomato sauce or not, its up to you! For me, I like the cheesy crispy appetizer just as it is lol

Fusion Kitchen Smile Jun 09, 2012

Puchong Jaya is a place full of restaurants, and Grill King is one of the better ones, in my opinion.

Its Hainanese Western fusion Kitchen is a good mash up of sorts, and I found the idea fresh.

As you can see, the ambiance is good, lighting is warm, with evergreens playing in the background.

The menu is nothing short of good choices, and they have your asian dishes apart from a variety of western food.

The hainanese sauce pork chop was good, with pork fillet and generous amount of hainanese creamy sauce. They happily oblidged to my request of extra sauce, heated up and served in a little dish. Price is good too, about RM12.90.

I liked the lamb chop the most. At RM16.90, the portion was big, with delicious fried rice that contained pieces of ham and Chinese sausage, coupled with greens.

Beverages there were ok , soup was average. Overall, a nice place to go for a family dinner, a date even, with good food and ambiance.

Hidden between the old and new block of IOI Mall, Little Pantry is a treasure that you can find . Average dishes are prices higher than your normal fast food outlets, and they have prices closer to your upper class restaurants like Chili's and TGIF.
PINK

PINK

Pink is the theme of the shop, and you get waitresses wearing cosplay pink maid uniforms. Feels like a different world inside.

Nonetheless, the design is warm, comfortable and also impeccable(although I would prefer less pink personally tongue )

As I was saying, food is priced higher here. However they also offer set lunches under RM20, which would warm your stomach and not burn a huge hole in your pocket at the same time...

So I ordered a lunch set, which cost me around <RM15 for a filling lunch. smile
Ice Lemon Tea

Ice Lemon Tea

A set usually comes in 4 courses, if you include the drink. Ice Lemon Tea, pretty standard. The bright colored twirly straw is the one that makes one go "ooh..."
Asparagus soup. *Slurps*

Asparagus soup. *Slurps*

When I asked for the soup of the day, I was told it was "Asparagus soup". Unfortunately, you don't have a choice in this, and I was dreading it as I don't personally like asparagus. However, I was in for a surprise - the asparagus soup was very tasty! It doesn't taste overwhelmingly of asparagus or vegetable like, and it was thick and warm.
Thai Style Fried Rice. Great!

Thai Style Fried Rice. Great!

Thai style fried rice with seafood, if I'm not mistaken. Standard dish, with generous servings of seafood including dory fish and prawns.
Dessert. Sweet...

Dessert. Sweet...

Dessert! Again, you don't have a choice, the waiter/waitress will serve you from their counter. I took the blueberry cake dessert, which was small(roughly 3x3cm) but delicious. Why does dessert have to be so small at places like this

All in all a good place to dine. Caught up with a friend of mine and sat there comfortably for a few hours enjoying the food and awesome company., without being disturbed.

Recommended Dish(es):  Asparagus soup!,desserts

Spending per head: Approximately RM15(午餐)

Lovely Thai Food Smile Jul 31, 2012

Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Seafood

A bit of Thai food craving brought me up to this shop.

Lovely red tom yam soup with seafood. The portion is enough for two. With lemongrass and other spices, the aroma was just lovely, and went well with the rice~

I heart the pandan chicken. Tender and juicy, full of pandan flavour. Its RM10 thought for 4 pieces which is expensive in my opinion. It was nice itself without the chili sauce.

White rice at RM1.50 per plate, not refillable.

Their butter prawn, fried with egg crisps. The saltish egg crisps was lovely, and there were many prawns of medium - large size, It was fresh, and did not have any icky taste. The egg crisp went along very well...Just wondering where the butter went tongue RM15.

Take note though, they charge for EVERY SINGLE GLASS of water. We asked for cold water refill, and they charged us for another glass instead of just a topup. Expensive, a once in a while splurge, if you ask me smile

Tiramisu Cake @ Kings Smile Jun 23, 2012
Categories : Western variety | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

Every time there is a birthday, one wonders where to get a cake from, and where.

I especially like the tiramisu cake at Kings. Firstly, you can see that the whole thing is coated with cocoa powder and coffee powder, not icing, which is fattening. They also have a small piece of white chocolate on top which is nice to eat too.

The inside is sponge and cream cake, which is sweet and full of coffee flavor. A good cake for coffee lovers. smile
