Sooth your parched throat with the Izen Coffee and Wow Milk Tea presented by Tarot Café is just a joyful experience. The big glass is not only able to quench your thirst, it really works on the basis of gentle sweetness, relieving those with the health concern.

It is nice to be admired either of its glass (Izen Coffee) or of its contents (Wow Milk Tea, the floating grass jelly and milk jelly). Mocha lover would fall in love to Izen Coffee as the chocolate flavour is easily identified by the taste buds. To add more, the price will surprise you: pay less to get a thicker satisfaction.

Ako Kopi Smile Dec 12, 2015
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

What can a RM2.90 buy you with? It’s a cuppa Hai Nam Ako Kopi. Never realise that the coffee beans are actually fried in butter and it frightens you with the first sight with a clot of butter floating on your cup? Cautiously taking the first sip, then you realise it just enhances the aroma of the coffee, and melted your guard away. Together with the very Hainanese decoration in the restaurant, you can just lean against your chair and enjoy your cup nonchalantly.

Ako Kopi is the local well-known Kopi-O (black coffee without sugar) that added the butter on it, therefore, it is ideal to serve hot. As for the cappuccino goers, you probably want to unlock your imagination by letting the butter to represent the fancy foam that top the coffee, in which this one has been localise.

RM5 Fried Vegetables OK Dec 08, 2015

Categories : Western variety | Bar & Pub | Steaks / Chops

Never doubt your eyes that see! It is clearly displayed on the advertisement board outside the restaurant that all stir fried vegetables cost only RM5, and yes, you can still enjoy the economic price at a well-crafted restaurant ambience.
There were 6 types of RM5 vegetables promoted during my visit: Midin, mix vegetables (lo hon), bitter gout, fu yong egg, and seasonal green leave. I ordered fried fu yong egg and bitter gout fried with egg. I would say the portion is enough to be consumed by 3 people. Fu yong egg is crisp outside but half cook inside, making it soft and juicy. The bitter goat has maintained its aroma as it is not over fried, and you can still chew the crunchiness and the egg is to coat the slight bitter taste that making the taste smooth. So maybe you want to keep your evening free by stepping in the restaurant and enjoy a simple, cheap yet nice dinner today?

Kuma Mono at Vivacity Megamall Smile Apr 13, 2016

Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Burgers / Sandwiches | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

The bear has invaded the town! Stay calm, Kuma the bear is super adorable. Showing the bear’s paw with its unique pads, Kuma Mono will make you unwillingly in biting the bun once you hold it on your hand.

This Taiwanese street snack stall has worked on a concept of take-and-go, with Kuma bun that appears in the shape of bear’s paw as the main treasure of the stall. The bun has come with 3 flavours: milk, brown sugar and wholegrain, and you can choose to sandwich it together with Kuma’s chicken, Karage crispy chicken, Karage spicy chicken or Oishii fish fillet and add in condiment of tarta sauce, black pepper sauce, chhesse or sesame sauce. The presentation of the whole sandwich is very attractive but most importantly, the chicken is crisp from the outside and juicy from the inside. One thing should be improved by the stall owner is thinking of a way to get rid of the smell of the frozen bun, as it is not in a pleasant aroma of a freshly bake bun. Besides Kuma bun, the stall also serves curry fish balls, wedges, and drinks.

Economy Rice at Kopitiam YenShan Smile Feb 29, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Mixed rice

Economy rice or mix rice or fast food, whatever the name it carries, this type of eating out is definitely the most favourable choice among Malaysians. Ranging from the variety to the flavours, customers can select the deep fried, stir fried, steamed, boiled, baked, and stewed, the cooking style that suit their taste buds.

What makes the economy rice at YenShan a favourite choice is due to a few factors: the price is still economic, the savoury of the food, the almost equal number of vegetables and meat source, and is really appealing in terms of the colour and selection. It is only RM3.50 if you take 1 type of meat and 1 type of vegetable, with free flow soup of the day. I would recommend dry curry pork, pumpkin fish, mamy chicken and fried French bean. However the only one flaw that this stall owner makes is the food could be quite salty at times, although the heavy flavour is always inviting, you have to drink more water then. Visit Kopitiam YenShan at Demak Laut, Sejingkat to savour your tummy.
