This place is associated with the famous restaurant, The Hill in Bukit Damansara.

Since I haven't been to The Hill before, I couldn't compare their food but having hear so much about them I have decided to give a try at this place in Bandar Utama.

For those of you who have never been, it is located in First Avenue, the building next to One Utama Shopping Mall. But fret not, it is easily accessible via the shopping complex. Just head to Popular Bookstore and you will find the way to the adjoining bridge.

As we arrived, it was pretty deserted as it was only 6PM or so. We had the black squid ink pasta as well as the soft shell crab salad paired with alcoholic drinks.

Truth to be told, we weren't impressed. The pasta tasted a little weird and it was undercooked. There was only four small scallops in it, not worth the price I would say. We had much better pasta else where.

The salad was acceptable though. The soft shell crab was quite crispy but nothing too great to shout about. In our opinion, this place is quite overrated. Not too sure about the Damansara branch, as for this I guess we wouldn't return anytime soon.

Friday Nights Smile Jan 13, 2016

It's Friday night! The day most of us look forward to after one whole week of workload.

We were running out of ideas for places to chill as we took a car and make rounds around the Bukit Damansara area. So happened we stumbled across this place, the Neroteca.

We have long heard about this restaurant but never bother to try. Since we were there, we thought to ourselves 'Why not?' and we didn't regret our decision for even a tiny bit.

It was an awesome chilling night albeit the noise as it was quite crowded on a Friday night. It's best to make reservations but we were lucky enough to be able to grab a table on the spot.

We had one of their seafood pizza and it was really good. The crust was so crispy and the seafood was fresh. I had the affogato as dessert too. The espresso smelled so strong of caffeine, it was so comforting. When it was poured into the cold ice cream, it tasted so good that we literally drowned in the mixture not wanting to get out! Yes, it was that good. Will definitely return for more especially on weekends and Friday nights!

Breakfast for Champs Smile Jan 13, 2016

It is always highly advisable to have breakfast every single day yet many of us actually skipped breakfast, either to sleep in or probably too lazy to cook.

Since we are in the latter category, we chose to drive to Imbi Market instead for this awesome heavenly tasted buns and tea.

This particular Ah Weng Koh hainanese stall is located in Imbi Market itself together with a few more others on a stretch of probably 4 to 5 small shops. Be here early or later of the day as it is always sardine packed with people. Make up your mind before you grab a seat or else those taking your orders can get quite impatient after awhile. This place is located right next to a Wantan Noodle stall.

Of course since we are here, we had their famous Hainanaese Tea and Toasted Buns. Smells so good! The tea itself is a combination of tea and coffee if I'm not wrong, with the right amount of portion the tea was really smooth. Every sip feels like heaven. The toasted bun was good too. A small piece of butter sandwhiched between the buns coupled with the newly toasted buns, melt in our mouth literally.

Tea flavoured cuisine Smile Jan 13, 2016

This is always our regular place to dine in if we ever visit The Gardens Mall on weekends.

It has been a favorite of my parents as it offers authentic and tasty Chinese cuisine with a flare of tea infused food, making it even more special and fragrant.

However it is best to come early, the tables are usually taken up during dinner time hence be there as early as 6PM. As the saying goes, early bird gets the worm!

This time around, instead of ordering dishes we had the ala carte individual rice. We had the Hakka Lei Cha with rice as well as the XO sauce fried rice.

Some may afraid that the food will taste bland here as it is geared towards the healthy diet but do not worry. It taste really really good, especially the XO sauce fried rice. It has minced chicken with it, with a slight spiciness from the XO sauce making it the perfect combination ever. We actually ordered two plates of the same fried rice.

For dessert, we wanted to try their glutinous ball with soya soup. The presentation was so pretty with flower buds, melt the heart of us ladies. The glutinous ball was chewy and tangy and the soya wasn't too sweet either. The perfect desert to end the meal that night.

Happy Hour OK Jan 13, 2016

Work hard, play even harder. As cliche as it may sound, we do need time to unwind and unload all the stress upon us each and everyday.

So we head straight to Brussels for drinks and dinner. We were really lucky that day as so happen it was a Wednesday night, i.e. Ladies Night! Guess what was on promotion that night, our very favorite beer. The Hoegaarden Rose!

What we like most about the Rose is the light and crisp taste of the beer with a hint of sweetness, making it the perfect drink for ladies. As far as I know, it can only be found in Brussels Beer Cafe. Not too sure if it is being served anywhere else in town.

Since I was pretty hungry, I ordered the sausage with fries as well as the potato skin. The sausage tasted a little weird for me though, perhaps I was not used to the porky smell in it. The wedges was acceptable but nothing great. The garlic bread was in fact a little pathetic as it was quite hard to chew at. As for the potato skin, it was good especially to pair with our beer. Crispy on the outside with the soft potato on the inside, the texture was just nice. The cheese on top makes it even better.
