Truly a hidden gem in the middle of no where. Over the long Christmas weekend, I accompanied my sister to check out on her newly renovated suite in Suria Bukit Jelutong. Being a new residential building, it was fairly empty with not many food choices.

Since we were waiting for the furniture movers to arrive, we googled and managed to find this small hidden Chinese restaurant in this averagely old and deserted looking building, about 2-3km away.

Surpringly when we arrived, there were quite a number of cars in the parking lot. Mostly were shoppers from the Jaya Grocer located at the same floor just right in front of this Chinese Restaurant. 

Apparently they were famous for their roasted meat, but we opt for other choices instead. I had the salt and pepper chicken with rice and my sister had their fish head noodles.

It was really really good. The toasted garlic on the chicken was so aromatic coupled with the juicy chicken despite being deep fried, it was really mouthwatering. As for the fish head noodle, it was good too. The broth was milky and the fish head was fresh, without the fishy smell. 

We were really excited to be able to find such an awesome restaurant in this secluded and deserted mall. Will definitely come by again if we visit this place in future!

Mediocre. The perfect description of the Vietnamese cuisine here in An Viet.
Since we were craving for Vietnamese food the other day, we head straight to this place as it is newly opened not too long ago. The exterior of the restaurant looks promising with a black and yellow concept with wooden tables. A flip through their menu, it is indeed 90% similar to what Vietnam Kitchen has to offer and we were really eager to try to see if it manage to beat our favorite Vietnamese Restaurant.
We had the drip coffee, fried spring roll, lemon grass pork chop with egg and rice, lemon grass chicken chop with egg and rice as well as the caramelized fish with rice.
We were disappointed. All of their dishes were feather bland in taste, lacking the extra 'oomph' we were expecting for. Both the pork chop and chicken chop ain't that great either, we can barely taste the lemon grass flavour.
The owner of the restaurant was quite nice though. Since its new, she came around to ask us for feedback. We provide our honest feedback. Let's hope the next round if we return there will be improvement in their food quality.

It's all about green tea. Every single page of the menu, there will be green tea options from food, dessert to beverages. As you can guess, it's a Japanese cuisine.

We had the Salmon Don set which cost approximately RM 21. It comes with a Salmon Don rice with a drink of your choice. I had the matcha latte. The salmon portion is relatively quite good, but the don was too dry for my liking. There isn't enough sauce to pair with the rice. The matcha latte wasn't good either. It was a little bland and too milky. 

My friend had one of their signature green tea drink which comes with a green tea ice cream float with three glutinous ball alike. For a green tea lover, it was heavens. The green tea flavour was so strong that it covers almost all the latte taste coupled with the green tea flavoured ice cream, it was gone within minutes for my friend. The glutinous balls were also chewy and tangy. 

Interior wise it was a simple and comfortable place to hang out with friends. Staffs were quite attentive and speed was fast. However, patrons will have to pay the bill at the counter itself. Since the restaurant isn't overly spacious, it's highly advisable for them to bring the bill to customers instead of forming a long queue in front of the cashier.

It was the festive weekend. Everyone is out of town celebrating Christmas with their loved ones.

We brought our grandpa to this restaurant we used to frequent for dim sum in the morning. But at night, they serve Chinese style stir fry dishes and noodles also known as 'dai chow'.

If you are keen to their dim sum, do come in the morning. Affordable prices with vast selections of dim sum to choose from.

It's been awhile since we had dine here for dinner. We had the salted egg yolk mantis prawn, pineapple spare ribs, superior broth spinach and spring onion fish fillet.

The egg yolk mantis prawn was so good, aromatic and crunch perfect as starters or appetizers for meal. The pineapple spare ribs was actually recommended by the lady boss. It faintly resembles the sweet and sour pork, but not as sweet. The meat was tender and juicy. As for the superior broth spinach, it was slightly different from other places because they added some shao xing wine into it. The soup is not a clear base, but smells good from the wine added into it. As for the fish fillet, it was really good as well especially when it's pipping hot.

Overall, we enjoyed our meal. It cost less than RM200 for such a big portion. Definitely worth the money.

The entrance itself is welcoming enough, with two huge wooden horses welcoming its patrons. Upon entering, we were amazed by its classy and elegant interior, with a subtle hint of dim lights, indeed this outlet is different compared to their outlet in Bangsar Shopping Complex.
Perhaps the location of this restaurant is a bit far from Sunway Pyramid Mall, the restaurant is less crowded and quiet enough for us to dine in. One can actually walk from the mall or parked right in front of the pinnacles where there is a large open parking space operated by auto pay machine. The restaurant can also be seen from the outside when one passes by the Sunway Hotel’s entrance.

As starters, we had the thai fish pancakes. It was crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside, coupled with the blended lemongrass bits, it smells and tasted so good. We also ordered the hotplate grilled squid and prawn omelette as well as tomyam seafood and green curry chicken.

The grilled squid was really good as well, aromatic and flavourful. The prawn omelette is fluffy, but taste wise could be a little bland. Perhaps adding some lime juice or chilli sauce will be better. Tomyam is good but portion may be a little too small. As for the green curry chicken, it was just average.

All in all, we enjoyed our food despite the misses here and there. I guess the restaurant interior does play a part in all our dining experience.
