Burger For Lunch Smile Sep 08, 2015

Tried the burgers and Green Dot Stables with my colleague and I loved it! The concept is really good as the burger size are just nice for the small eaters. For the big eaters, you can opt for two orders, which would allow you to try other choices of burgers!

The bun is really simple and plain, which is the way I like as it is supposed to complement the patty instead of outshining it. Not sure what cheese they used but it also complements the burger really well!

Overall the taste is really exquisite. It is a very good combination of ingredients such as bacon, cheese, patty and bbq sauce. And boy, it was amazing!

Midnight Cravings Smile Sep 08, 2015

Went to Boston Klang for a midnight craving. Of course when one is here, the compulsory order are the steamed lala and nestum mantis prawn. Both are a staple and must-haves!

The nestum mantis prawn is my utmost favorite! It is a mixture of sweet and salty nestum, tossed along with fried mantis prawn coupled with the smell of butter. It is super flavourful. However, the downside is that the mantis prawn are over-fried, which always happens. This caused the mantis prawn to be super crispy but I could not really taste any of the meat. However, I do enjoy the nestum by itself and luckily their serving of the nestum is very generous! A weird habit of mine is to mix a little of the steamed lala soup with nestum to be eaten. It's a good combination to me.

As for the steamed lala, it is a must have for spicy food lovers! It is not much of the chili spicy but rather the ginger spicy. A precaution though, always drink the soup with care because if you ever accidentally choke on it, it's a hazard! The lala or better known as clams, are fresh and perfectly cooked. Overall, it's a good dish to be eaten especially during rainy days.

Hokkien mee is not my thing but I did taste a little. The thing about the food here is that if you are a lard lover, you are in heaven! The lard was super crispy despite being soaked in the sauce mixture.

Early Breakfast Smile Sep 08, 2015

Had an early breakfast before going to work. Went to Village Park to settle my nasi lemak craving. True enough, it did not disappoint. Everything was up to expectaion. Rice was fragrant, portion was just nice. What I liked was how despite ordering telur goreng, they did not omit the original telur rebus like other nasi lemak stalls do.

Sambal was however a little too salty today. But it was still taste. Tried the kerang and it was very good! Super aromatic and it's a good match with the nasi lemak. I personally prefer to mix it with a little of the sambal and eat them with rice. Everything was pleasent except that the waiter forgotten our drink.

After Dinner Dessert Smile Sep 02, 2015

Coconut ice cream

Coconut ice cream

Having coconut ice cream after dinner is the perfect combination that brings ultimate satisfaction. The coconut ice cream is smooth and creamy, with sufficient coconut aroma. The signature version comes served in a coconut shell accompanied by the insides of coconut. There are free toppings such as chocolate sauce, coconut flakes, corns and cereals. Overall, it is a very satisfying experience. Will come back for sure.

Bak Kut Teh For Breakfast Smile Sep 02, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Bak Kut Teh

Any Klang folk who is familiar with the bak kut teh trend would have definitely tried the bak kut teh here before. I ordered a normal pot of bak kut teh for 3 person. The portion is just nice for us. It is served with fresh vegetable dipped into the soup hence the vege is still slightly crisp yet aromatic enough with the bak kut the soup. The bak kut the here is generally served with seafood making the soup much more sweeter. The meat served is very tender. I even ordered extra spicy to add a little kick to it.
The serving of soup is generous but additional soup will mostly come with an unhappy look from the lady boss. The ‘fu cuk’ here is one of the reason I will come back. It is soft and well cooked. There are also button mushrooms in it along with pork intestines. However, these are all optional. Addition of seafood may bring up the price but it is definitely worth it.
