Big Prawn Wan Tan Mee Smile Jan 22, 2016
Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Noodles

Known for it's Chinese local delicacy, Petaling Street houses a stall that sells prawn wantan noodles.

You'll be surprised how huge the prawns are and it all costs for only RM7.

The noodle is of fine texture but you can taste the alkaline lye water which I personally feel that it is the only flaw.

All in all, the noodle is worth the price.

Located near the entrance of WestCity, Kampar, the cafe is a new chill out spot for students, particualrly.

Apart from its relaxed ambience, dart games are available at the corner.

There are quite a variety of desserts to choose from, so bring a friend or two so you could order few flavours to try altogether.

The food is tasty albeit a bit pricey for the portion given. I ordered chicken chop and would recommend the black pepper flavor as the sauce is really good.

The parfait is basically yogurt with fruits (strawberry and black grapes). I'd say it's more like an appetizer rather than dessert because it's a bit sour.

Recommended Dish(es):  Chicken Chop

What determines the quality of the curry meehoon is definitely the broth.

And this. This is good quality broth. excitedexcitedexcited

The si ham (cockles) given are very generous in amount. There was still so much left when I finished the noodle.

Yong tau fu is also sold here at RM1.20/piece and I can say that the fried sui gao (dumpling) is on par with the famous Ampang yong tau fu.

The dumpling has a perfect crisp, even after being left in open air for some time. crycrycrycry

The lady boss though is not very friendly towards customers.

Chinese Chu Cha at Panglima Lane Smile Apr 25, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

During the weekends, the place will be crowded as Panglima lane also known as concubine lane in Ipoh is a very famous local attraction with its decades of heritage.

As lunch hour draws in, the restaurant will be crowded and its limited seats adds to never-ending crowds waiting in line till late afternoon.

The price of the food is reasonable and the taste is good.

The cantonese fried noodle here, also known as heong dai mai among cantonese people is fried well and is crispy even after leaving it for awhile.

The soup is good together with the noodle and is not too salty.

Usually the place is crowded at night time, hence it is best to have dinner before 7pm, if you want to avoid the crowd.
