Yummy Waffle Smile Feb 17, 2016

Categories : Japanese | Western variety | Café | Sweets/Snack

Madame Waffle has been very hot recently and I did not have the urge to try it until today. Also, it is because I miss the waffle so much as I had super yummy Belgium waffle during my recent trip in Belgium. Of course, is not fair to have the same expectation as well.Madame Waffle has 2 outlets in Mid Valley, located at Third Floor Mid Valley and LG Floor The Garden respectively. I’m pretty to go up to third floor therefore I have chosen to visit the Kiosk in The Garden. I was lucky enough to get a table around this peak hour. I want to eat basic waffle today hence I have order 2 sets of Waffle Combo. Combo 1- Original Waffle + Coffee; Combo 2- Chocolate Waffle + Chocolate Hot Drink. We were waited for quite long in order my foods to be served. When I first bite the waffle, it was soft inside and crispy outside yet very aromatic. Yes, it is tasty.

The flavour of Latte is good as well as it has the basic sensation- strength, taste and aroma which I like it so much.

Next, is the Chocolate Waffle, they have spread the chocolate sauce on top of the waffle. The chocolate sauce is tasted bitter sweet, thick and creamy. I would prefer the original as you can the aroma of the waffle.

I have tried the Hot Chocolate, to my surprise the Hot Chocolate Drink is good as well. Lightly sweeten, smooth and very Chocolatey!

It was satisfying to cope my sweet crave as is. I will be back again to try other flavour, perhaps at third floor then.

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hotpot | Seafood

I always love to eat Shabu Shabu, reason being, first is an individual pot thus you can order your desire soup base and throw in your favourite food. Second is more hygienic in the sense. I like to come here for dinner as it is nearby my house however parking is a challenge.

As usual, the same menu I am going to order today. They offered few selection of soup base such as Seaweed, Porridge, Tom Yum etc. Anyhow, I still prefer their Pork Bone Soup. Since the restaurant not really crowded, my order have came in second.
Let’s boil the soup base before throwing in the ingredient.

I have ordered a combo meal (RM49.80) which comprises of 6 mixtures of plates ingredients which you can make your own selection from designate page. First is a platter consist of Pork Balls, Fish Balls, Fuk Zhuo Fish Balls and Pig Skin Yong Tao Fu.

Fresh Wanton (RM5.00), made of mince meat filling. Best cook in clear soup.

Fu Zuk (RM3.00), one of my favourite for Shabu Shabu.

Pork Slices, thinly sliced. Best to dip with Garlic Chili sauce.

Side order, Yam (RM5.00)

Side order, Special Homemade Meatballs (RM9.80). I like this meatballs as it is fresh meat is not processed food.

Fried Mee Sua, this is my favouriten noodle for its springy and eggy texture.

Lastly, is the mix vegetable platter consist of Oyster mushroom, Shitake Mushroom, Glass noodles, Enoki mushroom and vegetables as well as Tou Fu. The most healthy plates among all.

After cooking all the above ingredient, the soup became very sweet and thick. Best to drink now as it has all the essence inside the soup. For your information, you can mix and match the sauce provided at the sauce counter, yes take-all-you-can.

Yummy Roasted Char Siew and Duck! Smile Feb 15, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant

I intend to do some shopping at Mid Valley, in order to avoid the human and traffic jam. I have reached at 10.30am, to my surprise they are quite many shoppers around. I wanted to eat something hot and filling, Ding Tai Fong and Duck King has crossed my mind. When passing by Ding Tai Fong, I can see a queue from far. Definitely a no to queue up around this hour. Without any hesitation, I walked toward Duck King. Since it is early, only 4 tables are occupied.

Upon seating, we were served a bowl of hot soup. It was Peanut Lotus soup, best to keep my stomach warm. The soup was tasted light and clear. Without need to wait longer, my Two Combination Roasted Meat Noodles was served. I have opted Roasted Char Siew and Roasted Duck to pair with the noodle. The Roasted Char Siew was tendered, sweet and melts in my mouth. As for the Roasted Duck, the meat was soft yet well marinated, especially the skin was crispy. Noodles were very springy and the sauce is tasty too.

Besides that, I have ordered Prawn Dumpling with Chili Sauce as my appetizer. Its came with 5 pieces of Prawn Dumpling immerse into the hot and spicy sauce. The dumpling was pretty huge with mince meat and prawn filling. Overall taste is good.

As for the drink, I get myself a glass of refreshing and chilled Sugar Cane.

My friend has ordered a glass of Orange Juice, she said it was good, freshly squeeze orange juice yet sugar free.

When we about to finish our meal, the waiter served each of us a dessert- Herbal Jelly. It seems this is the complimentary for every main course order.

To wrap up, the overall foods are good. I definitely will come back again.

No Good! Cry Feb 15, 2016

Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Noodles

I like to hang out in Desa Park City, quite and ample of parking bay. I purposely drop by for lunch today. I have chosen Onde Onde this time as it is less crowded today which usually pack and need to wait for the table.
I was served to table for 4 upon my arrival, browsing the menu wonder what to eat today. Finally, I decided to order Siam Mee Hoon whereby my friend would like to have Big Breakfast to pair with Teh O Ais Limau and Limau Ais respectively.

Siam Mee Hoon (RM10.90) was served after 5 mins, it seems like the Mee Hoon was cooked before hand and heated using the Microwave. In short, is not cook upon ordering. I felt regretted as I expect made to order. The taste of Siam Mee Hoon was average, not spicy but a bit dry for me. Fried chicken chunk was served cold with onion topped with Thai Chilli Sauce. The 2 big prawns on top were cold either.

Big Breakfast (RM16.90) comprises of Toast, Scramble Egg, Bake Bean, Ham, Sausages, Harshbrown and salad. Upon serving, this dish was not appeal to me at all. Let’s go through one by one. Toast, salad, sausages and bake bean were considered normal. However, the Scramble egg was overcooked, it was taste like fried egg instead. Harshbrown was overcooked as well as its turned dark brown colour with excessive oil on it. Ham (pix shown below)which is close to pink colour, to me this is consider low grade product and my friend did not bother to touch it.

As for the beverages, Teh O Ais Limau (RM5.90) and Limau Ais (RM3.50) which were normal. Nothing much to comment about.

Yummy Marble Cake Smile Feb 15, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Lunch hour has pass, finally I have time to sit down for lunch. Again, cracking head wonder what to eat today, Cozy Corner or Shyet-Li Kopitiam. Taking the elevator up to second floor, when I pass by Kopitiam, I spotted Marble Cake was placed at every table. Yes, I want to eat Marble Cake which I have not been eating this for ages. Moreover, the waitress offered me to reheat the marble cake, why not, it taste better if it is eat hot. Besides that, I have ordered their signature Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang and Coffee as well.

While waiting for the Nasi Lemak to be served, let me savour the Marble Cake while it is still hot. Wow, soft, fluffy, light buttery flavor and lightly sweeten. It is gives a taste of traditional flavour. Indeed yummy!

Here comes the Nasi Lemak, standard condiment such as hard boiled egg, peanut, anchovies, cucumber, sambal lastly Chicken Rendang. Upon serving, you can smell the rice was full of coconut aroma. Whereby Chicken Rendang features a rich, thick coconut gravy that gives meat a delightful texture and flavour. The best thing is I was given drumstick which tastes even better.

As for the coffee, they are using local ground coffee, dark and thick texture. Overall taste is average.
