Sotong Mee Hoon! Smile Jul 18, 2015

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung

It is 3 days consecutive Raya holiday, I decided to pay a visit to my grandma house in Seremban. Since I was there why not to look for something good to eat. Prior to my departure, I rang up my aunty whom is from Seremban for some recommendation. She suggested to go Seremban Pasar Besar because of the variety and is gather lots of good food there.

I have reached around 9.00am. Seems the parking are fully occupied, luckily managed to get a parking after waited for 5mins. God bless! I climed straight to second floor which the foods  stalls are. I can say 70% of the tables are occupied. Before I decide what to do, I just go one round of the food court. The first I spotted is Ming Kee Wanton mee, no at this moment as I just had wanton mee yesterday. Next, I saw the Tow Kee Hakka Noodle stall then I proceed to order, the Order Taker informed me that is long to wait 30mins. Oh my god! Forget it!
Moving forward, spotted short queue in front of 787 Sotong Mee Hoon. Oh, sounds something different. Lets order a bowl to try it out!
I have waited for almost 15mins, finally is here.

The first sip was the soup, the soup is sweet. Then the Mee Hoon, which has been pan fried it before hand therefore smell "Wok Hee". As for the topping, it is braised pork slices therefore it is flavourful only cost RM4.00 per bowl. In fact,  I wanted to try other noodle as well like Beef Noodle, Curry Laksa unfortunately my stomach is already full.
I definately will come back here again to try out other foods as well.

Korean Food Smile May 12, 2016

Categories : Korean | Restaurant | Noodles

It was heavy rain at night and I drove into to Viva Mall for dinner as I need somewhere shelter and nearby. I have no idea what to eat until I pass by this Korean Restaurant. It seems that the restaurant name has changed. Therefore, I stepped into the restaurant because I like to try new food.

Had a quick order and we were served with 3 variety of the Banchan. For your information, Banchan is side dishes in Korean. We have Kimchi, Bean sprout and Cucumber. The Kimchi was really impressive, spicy and flavourful. The is the best Kimchi I had thus far. I even asked for additional 2 plates for it. Indeed yummy!

KimChi RaMyeon (RM13.70), Hot and Spicy Noodle with vegetable and chicken. This is not that spicy that I thought. It is good to savour a bowl of hot and spicy soup in this raining time.

Dol Sot BiBimBab (RM15.40), one of their signature hot stone rice topped with fresh vegetable and chicken. Taste was not bad after adding the homemade chili paste.

JapChae (13.70), Korean Fried Glass Noodle with Chicken. I enjoy eating glass noodle as it was soft and smooth. This is the must-order dish whenever I visit Korean Restaurant. The portion is big with generous amount of ingredient.Taste is not bad too.

This noodle was come with a bowl of Soup with egg drop in it.

Pan Jeon (RM12.90), Scallion pancake with mixed seafood. I love this pancake very much. First it is not oily, thin yet crunchy of course is taste good.

Overall foods were good and satisfied. Price is reasonable and service is superb!

Lam Mee Smile Aug 31, 2015
Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung

People will only remember the famous Char Siew here. Anyway, I only tried once.
I always come here for Lam Mee. It is hard to find a plate of tasty Lam Mee out there nowadays. Yet the restaurant is only open from Monday to Saturday due to this is the industrial area. In short, I only can eat once a week.
The stall is managed by elderly couple, number will be given upon ordering.
After waited for 10mins, my Lam Mee RM5.00 is served. Generous amount of topping. I just love to eat Loh Bak. Thick and pipping hot gravy goes well with house made chili. Yummy!

Famous Pork Noodle Smile Aug 31, 2015
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

This is one of the famous pork noodle in town. I have not eaten this for lapse of 3 years. Do you know they have another branch in Lot 10 Hutong? Yes, I like to go there either though the pricing is much higher than Jalan Imbi. Reason being I can dine in the air-con and confortable environment with the same bowl of noodle imagine it is 1PM under the hot sun.
In fact, I wanted to go to Imbi Wet Market for breakfast. Unfortunately, I have slipped out of my mind that they are closed on every Monday and only realised until I reached there. Sigh.......
To compensate the dissapointed feeling, I decided to visit this pork noodle stall which I did not eat for ages. Is 7.40AM now the patrons are lesser I think it could be public holiday. Easily can get a table for four. I proceed to the stall and I happy to see the uncle boss is still there, every single preparation is done by himself. The foreign workers are helping out in sending food and some cleaning work. Nowadays those famous foods stall are usually manage by foreign workers. Do you agree?
Without waiting much longer, here comes my noodle. Hmhm... cant wait to savour the piping hot soup. Anyhow, camera eat first, LOLX

Great! The same old taste that I remember, never runs. Generous amount of minced meats and meatballs.

I love to eat the sausages, flavourful enough. Yes, the noodle comes with green chili instead of chili padi. It is goes well with the noodle.

Im satisfied with this bowl of noodle. They are charging RM8 per bowl which I feel that it is a bit expensive. Anyhow, the overall foods and portion they served is worthwhile.

Traditional egg tart Smile Aug 30, 2015
Categories : Chinese | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

Is Saturday morning, as usual Imbi wet market peak hour. I'm late today is already 9.30AM. I wanted to drop by to take away Sister Spring Roll. While queueing for spring roll, egg tart has cross my mind.
Then, I proceed to Bunn Choon stall. Wow...I can see the long queue from far. Struggling whether wait or leave. Ok, I convience myself good food is worth to wait. I have joined in the queue. Lots of customer has large order- 2
boxes, 3 boxes. The lady boss was busy serving customers others works are busy making egg tarts. Yes, all egg tarts are fresh from the oven.

Apart from their signature egg tart, they have other traditional pastry as well such as pineapple tarts, lotus paste pastry, salted egg pastry etc.
Tick tock, tick tock...... finally is my turn. 30mins past, Phew!!! I only want to eat egg tart nothing else, let's get one piece each of the flavours- Classic, Green tea and Black sesame plus Coconut tart for my mom.
Egg tart was freshly bake from the oven therefore it is still hot with vapour. It was properly packed in the paper box.

Tarts were still in good condition when I reach home. I just have a quick snap while it is looks perfect.
Black sesame egg tart RM1.80

Green egg egg tart RM1.80

Classic egg tart RM1.60

Lastly, Coconut tart RM2.00

I have tried the classic egg tart before therefore I was eagerly to try the other 2 new flavours while it is still lukewarm. The first bite of Green tea, the pastry was flakey and crispy, you will taste light fragrant of green tea flavour, light one. Something different.

Next, Black sesame- they are using black sesame powder to mix with the pastrt dough therefore you will taste the crunch of the toasted sesame. Oh... sounds healthy!

If you were to ask me which flavour do I prefer, I would still love the classic egg. 30mins waiting time is worth while!
