awesome chee cheong fun! Smile Aug 09, 2014

One of my favourite chee cheong fun / yong tau foo stall in PJ. Well not best but most frequent as they open until late. Good selection of yong tau foo which are fresh & tasty. The special chee cheong fun is also good. Think Teluk Intan style where its stuffed with dried shrimp, preserved turnip & fried shallots. Top all of it with their yummy sauce and you are good to go!

good porky fix... OK Aug 08, 2014

This place is known for its porky dishes. Been hearing a lot of negative reviews recently but still decided to give it a try. Place was still packed so I guess they aren't doing that bad. Service was average.
When it comes to the food it was a hit & a miss. Taste wise they were all delicious. We had the carbonara (Wolf's Favourite), salmon salad & pork kebabs. Downside being the salmon salad came with only a handful of thinly sliced salmon. For what we are paying it was very disappointing.
Wanted to try their desserts but we were too full. Maybe next time. Will surely return to try some of the other items on the menu.

If you want good steamboat with a variety of broths instead of the usual spicy & vegetable this is definitely the place. They have up to 7 if am not mistaken. Once decided you start on the choices of meats, frozen goods & vegetables. They also have cooked items like golden bean curd, deep fried bean curd skin & Salt and Pepper squid. All quality ingredients & tasty.
The place is clean & comfortable. Service is also quick & attentive. Only drawback being the price. It can get rather expensive. Meal for 2 cost me RM128.

yummy noodles... OK Aug 08, 2014

Great place to find good hokkien mee in PJ. Cooked with charcoal burners and great wok hei. They get packed during dinner time but service is fast so turnaround is quick. They also have good pork soup and fish head noodle soup.
Within the restaurant itself there are other stalls serving up good satay, nasi lemak, grill fish and lobak. Nothing to shout about but still tasty.

This is the home of the famous Robert's char kway teow (ckt). Majority of the customers are for him and during lunch or dinner except a long wait. However its well worth it. He remembers his customers and always makes as ordered. Unlike most places he won't make a fuss if you have any preferences. Quality and taste has not changed in the last 10 years I have been frequenting his stall.
Besides ckt the economy mix rice stall is also famous during lunch time especially with the students who live nearby. Then we have the fried rice stall which is open for lunch and dinner. You can also find popiah, laksa, curry mee, prawn mee and kway teow soup here. Lots of varieties and all of good quality and taste.
In terms of environment this is a typical Chinese kopitiam. It can get noisy and stuffy. It is clean but not spotless. Expect greasy floors. Definitely will recommend this place for a meal.
