lol
HahaXD wondering what kind of food am I talking about
Well, think no more. When someone talks about getting new furniture, the company that always come to my mind would be IKEA!! no doubt....any chairs or table, IKEA is the man!!!
No advertising fee paid here but I truly love IKEA's range of furniture.
Besides furniture, the next thing about IKEA is FOOOOOOOD!!!
It's true, they serve wonderful meatballs and they have this daim cake that is DAIM GOOD (if you read it properly) seriously.

Okay, okay, let's see...IKEA restaurant has a very ang moh high school canteen concept where you get to push trolley and pile them up with foods along the queue. Very systematic, I must say except for spotting table to settle down. Maybe it's due to the upcoming occasion, the place is always packed with people, all hungry from a whole day of walking. The food selections might no be that impressive but the choices are great though. From main dishes such as fish & chips to cakes and muffins as desserts to please your taste buds. There are even extra side dishes you could add on apart for their bottomless soft drinks for quite a reasonable price. lol

As for the broccoli I ordered, it's just right. Not too soft from over-cooked nor too hard. Just as crunchy as it supposed to be and the combination with lemon butter gravy is perfect. So far I have tried the vegetarian pasta which is quite a plain dish with only pasta but topped off with a very generous amount of Bolognese sauce. As for the chips, they are full and very potato-ish as compared to those in McDonalds and my personal favourite, dipping each and every of them in yellow mustard sauce. For mustard lovers, it's just heavenly. I think IKEA restaurant cafe is the only restaurant I came across which offers yellow mustard along with chili and ketchup at the dispenser. Unlimited amount of mustard sauce offered, by the way.tongue

Recommended Dish(es):  Daim cake,meatballs,fish & chips,mustard sauce.

BEST MAMAK!!! - personally Smile Jan 11, 2012

Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Nasi Lemak | Private Party

Steve's corner is the HANG-OUT place for me and my friends when we go for supper.
It's always there and we never get bored of it. To be honest, despite being a mamak, to me, this mamak is extra-ordinary than the usual mamak that sells roti canai.
One of my personal favourite, garlic cheese naan (a type of indian flatbread) is wonderfully heavenly. From my personal experience of eating cheese naan, this stall gives so far the best cheese naan that I've ever eaten.

Like any mamak stalls in malaysia, almost most of them open till late hours and no doubt about steven's corner as well. They open 24 hours, now with unifi access making it more reason to go there for a drink or just chill. And like any typical mamak stall, they have people running around calling and shouting for the staffs to order their food. The smell of smoky cooking floats around when you walk in to the stall. smile

Now for the MAIN dish!!!
Their naan are truly wonderful. It's cheese naan especially, that are only available during evening hours till late night. Using a handful amount of cheese to make the perfect naan. When the naan comes serving hot on the table, you can see oozing melted cheese flowing out from the naan. Can't wait for it to cool down, take a piece of the naan and you will get those cheezy strings that pizza advertisement shown, that makes any hard-core cheese lovers go mad for it!!! Seriously!! it's melted cheese is more than enough to satisfy someone with an urge to gulp down a whole pizza. mad

There are a variety of naan that Steve's Corner provide, including garlic naan, which is very fragrant from the aroma of garlic, garlic cheese naan, an heavenly combo with cheese and garlic fusion, pizza naan, a combination of tandoori chicken (indian red roasted chicken) and cheese inside the naan.

Personal recommendation: garlic cheese naan

Recommended Dish(es):  garlic cheese naan,pizza naan,maggi mee goreng,tosai

Spending per head: Approximately RM8(宵夜)

an uninteresting encounter Cry Jan 07, 2012

I noticed this place when I first came to Viva Home, when they were still advertising about this new mall in Jalan Loke Yew. I caught eye of this shop that reminds me one of my favourites, toast bread. Then, I came across a coupon that was selling for a pretty cheap deal to eat at this Bread & Butter.

But today, after eating there once, I would not go back and try again. It was just for an experience that I wanted to try this shop since they were selling toast bread.
Sadly, the place was quiet and there was only one worker to serve us. Though they have nice concept and signage but the sight of seeing nobody at the shop was rather discouraging for me...

Next, a glance at the menu and you would find that as expected, toasted bread with kaya (coconut custard, they call it) was their specialty. That was sure pretty obvious, any shop that starts with "bread" or "toast" would usually have the classic toasted bread as their specialty. So these was no less as well. With various topping ranging from kaya to condensed milk as topping, there quite an amount of choice to choose from, though from the menu board on the wall, the types of drinks seem to take more space than their specialty, sad.

However, looking at the price, I was surprised, because for a toast bread eating person like me, where toast bread with kaya and thick-sliced butter would only cost about RM1.80-2.00 this was considered expensive, and their drinks, was usual shopping mall prices.

So, I ordered the toast bread with cookies, while my sis ordered another with kaya. They had single layer and double layer to choose from, we took the single layer one.

To be honest, when it arrived, it was a bit disappointing to see that what I've ordered was just a piece of Hainan bread toasted crispy with kaya and cookies. It really didn't stimulated any appetite in me nor did my sis too. The taste was average, like any toast bread. The kaya was rather starchy and lack the fragrance of coconut and brown sugar while the bread with cookies was too dry to ingest. If it were combo with something a bit wet like chocolate, then maybe it would have went better. But then, it didn't.

We ordered drinks as it was part of the deal that we bought. So we ordered iced chocolate, raspberry and hazelnut. It tasted like diluted chocolate drink. Well, can't expect much from a shop that sells bread.

Overall, we both had a rather bad experience. It really was unexpected from a shop that looked so nicely furnished and thought off, such a waste.

As I am still studying, this is one of the best place for nice, savoury food around my uni area.
As far as I've known, there are a few outlets in KL, but I've never been to any other outlet except this. This outlet really gave me a big surprised as they interior design was really nice and well-designed with modern interior. They have comfy sofas for couples or friends to sit together.

I've been to this place a few times and most of the time, I would order my favourite cheese baked rice as I really adored cheese. They have a variety of cheese baked rice. And most of them are nice and good. For a cheese lover like me, it sure satisfy my need.smile
There are other nice things to eat over at Padi, particularly the ice blended drinks, mostly coffee-based. I've tried their ice blended mocha. It was very fragrant and chocolatey, a perfect mix of Lavazza coffee and chocolate. Unfortunately, I dont have any picture with me, if not I would love to show you how GREAT is their cheese baked rice combo it with a tasteful ice blended Mocha. smile
Overall, this is a pretty nice place for a nice dinner (especially at night, cuz the lights would be on, making the whole ambient a little dreaming) with a reasonable pricing for good food.

Donuts have been in Malaysia for quite a long time already...and as far as long as I can remember, the first donut stall in malaysia was Dunkin Donuts...
however, years pass by more overseas donuts shops have come to Malaysia and venture and Big Apple is one of them as well...=)
Well-known for their exhilarating toppings and fun-filled fillings, BIG APPLE is by far my favourite donut stall of them all...
besides, they also have whacky names for each donut making the ordering process much more fun mad

like any BIG APPLE, it's always the same look on the outside and you'll have to queue in a line to buy your donuts..
here's a few donuts that I like smile

the one with lots of hair like stuff on it, that's ALIEN! I LOVE THAT ONE! besides having those hair like chocolate as toppings, it also have a dark chocolate filling that will bring out the chocolate addict in everyone...>.<
