German Pork Chop Cry Aug 14, 2013
Categories : German | Restaurant | Steaks / Chops | Seafood | Private Party

I was planning to eat at Uncle Jang at Puchong that day, but I reached there around 3.30pm, which is their break time, so I have to look for other food to eat nearby there. I searched around and finally found this restaurant. It's a inconspicuous shop rows shop. When I visited there, there were only 1-2 tables of customers consuming there.

I ordered a Pork Chop RM22.90++. I waited for more than half an hour for the food to be served even though there were only a few numbers of customers at that time.

Side Dish - Mashed Potato

The mashed potato tastes ok, but the sauce are too little.

There are 2 pieces of pork cutlet served, 1 in thinner slice and another one thicker. The thinner slice is still not bad, the meat is still tasteful.

However for the thicker slice, the texture of the meat is too rough and tasteless, not well marinated.
Side Dish- Broccoli

Side Dish- Broccoli

The most disappointing thing is the side dish, broccoli. The vegetables are not fresh at all (as can be seen from the photos).

I'm not sure how about the other food, but the weekdays lunch set is quite cheap.

The environment is not bad, with dim light.

I would actually not visit this restaurant again because the staff there are all showing long face. I always emphasize on the service of any restaurant.

All food are subject to 10% service charge and 6% government tax.

KFC Seafood Symphony Oriental Set Cry Jul 31, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Burgers / Sandwiches | Halal

Recently KFC has been advertising their new products, KFC Seafood Symphony quite often on the TV. Of course, I cannot miss out the chance to try it as I am a seafood lover. However I didn't really put much expectation on it.

There are 2 sets of KFC Seafood Symphony (RM13.50+) can be chosen, either Western or Oriental. Western set includes of 2 pieces of fried chicken, 2 pieces of shrimps stars, 1 chili snow crab sauce, 1 coleslaw, 1 bun and 1 carbonated drink, while Oriental set is replacing the coleslaw and bun with a small bowl of chicken rice.

I ordered a Oriental set, as expected, the taste are just below normal standard.

Yes there are real shrimps inside the shrimp stars, but I don't think they are using fresh shrimps to make it because I can't actually taste the shrimps inside.
Chili Snow Crab Sauce

Chili Snow Crab Sauce

The chili crab sauce is just some chili sauce, tomato sauce cooked together with some frozen crab filament, but not real seafood.
Colonel Chicken Rice

Colonel Chicken Rice

The colonel chicken rice portion is quite small but not as advertised. It also lack of some fragrance of what chicken rice should have. Overall, this is a very poor dish. I hope that KFC can put more effort next time before launching a new product but not just for promotion purpose only.

All food are subject to 6% of government tax.

Chicken Rice Cry Jul 31, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Café

I have tried almost all the food of stall at the kopitiam nearby my rental house Setapak here. So my friend suggested to try the chicken rice. I don't really put much expectation on it. As expected, the food are so poor.

I ordered a Chicken Drumstick Rice Set (RM6.50). The set comes with a very tasteless herbal tea (ice occupies more than 3/4 of the drink), a plate of bean sprout with SOURISH taste ( this is the first time I tasted bean spout with sour taste), a chicken drumstick and a plate of rice. Due to the air-conditioned environment, the chicken drumstick is not hot and they only drench the chicken with hot water or perhaps soup (it's not steamed chicken ). The chicken is tasteless and not juicy. I could only taste the seasonings. The rice is ok, warm enough and quite fragrant.

I would definitely not eat their chicken rice anymore. Perhaps other food are ok.

Mc Donald's new launched burger Cry Jul 21, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Café | Halal | Sweets/Snack

This is the first time I writing a review for a fast food restaurant because McDonalds recently had launched the new product Grand Spicy Chicken Mc Deluxe (RM10.85+). I was attracted by the advertisement, so I decided to try it, but it's quite disappointing me. It didn't surprise me as advertised. Its taste is not spicy at all. It's just almost the same like the original Spicy Chicken Mc Deluxe. It just added a slice of cheese, tomato and few slices of onions. Besides that, the burger that I ate at this branch is a little bit burnt and overcooked. The meat is so dry and not tender at all.

Overall, the taste is a little bit poor compared to other branches that I ate before (maybe only for this food). The ambiance here is quite nice though.

Taiwan Food Cry May 27, 2013
Categories : Taiwanese | Restaurant | Noodles

I have to give a big big big NO! NO! NO! to this restaurant. I have read many reviews about this restaurant. All are giving quite a not bad review and rating. So I brought my friends to try at here. But it really embarrassed me because the food are so SUCKS, all of my friends complained about their own orders ! "BAD" or "POOR" is not enough to describe it. I really wonder why so many of the reviewers recommended this restaurant.

This restaurant is quite narrow that they put so many tables and chairs in such a small shops.

I ordered a Braised Chicken Drumstick Noodles (RM14.90+). The appearance of the chicken drumstick is so dull that affected my appetite. But it won't be a big matter if the taste is nice. BUT the texture of chicken drumstick is so tough and not tasty at all (Chicken drumstick should be quite tender). The texture of the noodle is quite not bad that I rather to eat the plain noodles than the chicken drumstick.

For the drinks, I ordered a Signature Cream Milk Roasted Oolong Tea with Pearl (RM7.90+). I ordered it because I was quite attracted by the picture on the menu but it really disappointed me. The milk tea glass is placed inside a bowl of ice to be chilled. The purpose of doing so is to maintain the taste of the drinks by preventing the melting ice from affecting the taste of the drinks. However, it's still tasteless even though there are only very little ice put inside the drinks.

I also ordered a plate of snack to share with friends. Taiwanese burgers (割包)(1pc - RM4.90+ / 2pcs - RM8.90+). I ordered a 2 pieces set to save the 50 cents. The looks of the bun is quite not bad which actually made me felt like there are something that are audible in that restaurant. But once again it disappointed me at my first bite. The bun is so dry like it has been placed outside and blown by wind for a time. The meat is also so dry that there are not even a little sauce.

I spent RM30 on this meal which really made me feel so unworthy. This can be considered as one of the worst Taiwanese food that I have ever eaten.

All food are subject to 10% service charge.
