Swiss Apple Tea OK Sep 27, 2013

One of the unique drinks you can find from Acme Bar & Coffee is the "Tea Forte skin smarts Antioxidant Amplifier Teas" which are tea that can help you defy the signs of skin aging and detoxify too. It is also supposed to taste delicious!

I tried the Swiss Apple, which is caffeine free which is made from crispy apples, dark Alpine chocolate and cinnamon. Frankly, the tea as it is is not sweet and it is flavorful.

I have only tried ravioli just one time in one of my favourite Mediterranean restaurant; Porta Romano. The one I had from Porta Romano was a salmon one and it was just rich, creamy and heavenly. In contrast, the one served from Bavarian Bierhaus is a vegetarian version where ravioli is filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. I had a chance to speak with the chef and I was told that these ravioli pockets are made in house, handmade in other words. But in all honesty, I didn't like it that much. The pasta was too tough, and it felt like they were defrosted, not made fresh. As for the filling, the cheese made it too powdery.

Can I be completely honest and say that this is the most hideous presentation of sausages that I have ever seen in my whole entire life? No offence, but really this looks just awful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with presenting sausages as they are. Presentation aside, the sausage platter was actually a delightful haven for sausage lovers like yours truly because there were 6 different types of them topped with grilled bacon. There were the Bratwurst, Thuringer, Neurberger, German pepper, Hungarian and the Emmenthaler sausage. This is served with complementary dipping sauces of roasted-garlic mayo, german curry ketchup, mustard and habanero mayo.

Meet the Mixed Cold Cut Platter, which consists of five different type of premium cold cuts; Parma ham (dry cured ham) - bottom left, Salami Milano (minced and flavoured lean pork with bacon) – top right, Calabra (spicy salami) – lower center , Capocollo (an Italian cold cut from dry-cured whole pork shoulder or neck) - bottom right, Mortadella (finely ground, heat-cured pork sausage) – top center and Pancetta (pork belly meat) – top left.

The pizzas from Ante Kitchen & Bar are the crunchy thin crust pizzas, but unlike your usual pizzas these are oblong shaped. I found them quite adorable and it is easier for sharing as well. To get the best from these pizzas, it was recommended to use your hands to eat them. They are so crispy thin that it actually looks ridiculous to try to cut a thin crust pizza and then proceed to struggle with forking it up into your mouth.

I took a bite of the Signature Chorizo & Bacon and my taste buds literally went *boom*. The bacon, the pork chorizo, *mumbles* ahfsgdf. It was so good. Maybe it was because I had the plain, bland vegetarian pizza before this and in contrast, the Chorizo & Bacon tasted way better. Everything in that pizza was good because of the generous amount of bacon and the pork chorizo, every bite will have you go “ahh, give me more”.
