Waxed duck rice OK Feb 28, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant

This waxed duck rice isn't something that you can find it often in Kuala Lumpur. I always heard about this rice from Hong Kong but never get the real chance to actually eat it. Then one day I come over here and saw this on the menu, immediately I want to order this one. But when the food is served in front of me, and I took my first bite, I felt regret.

First of all, the rice is very oily. You will get a very oily mouth after the first scoop. Then the rice taste a bit weird. I think this is how it should taste like. But maybe I'm not use to the taste. A bit smelly I would say the rice is.

pork lard OK Feb 28, 2013

When I watched Hong Kong dramas, I always see they all get to eat a very special kind of rice which is called Pork Lard Rice. I thought it is only available at Hong Kong but not Malaysia. One day when I passed by this Ducking and glance through their menu. Immediately I saw this Pork Lard Rice. Without second thought, I just entered and order this rice. The rice is a bit hard and not moisture. But never mind, that is not the main point. You can smell the fragrance of pork lard immediately. When you eat the rice, it is a mixture taste of sweet and salty. The sweet is because of the pork lard, the salty is cause of the soya sauce they used.

shabu shabu OK Feb 28, 2013

I enjoy eat shabu shabu very much. First of all, I don't really know how to cook. Second, I just throw what ever in front of me into the boiling pot. The clear soup base is very sweet. If you want more sweet, you can throw in some ingredients into the soup and let it boil for some time. The boiling temperature is control by yourself. I like to eat their pork slice here. The pork slice is very thin. You just need to throw it into the soup and boil for few seconds then it is cooked.

fish noodle OK Feb 28, 2013

Personally I quite enjoy eating fish. So if you let me options to choose between fish and chicken noodle, definitely I will go for fish noodle. Especially when it comes to fish head noodle. I like the soup here with the milk. Some people don't like the milk taste in the soup but I love it very much. Because the milk fragrance make the soup taste more sweet and delicious. The noodle here is thick bee hoon. The fish here is normal only. Nothing real special on it. Still the soup taste better.

Froyo OK Feb 28, 2013

Categories : Western variety | Café | Private Party

Recently when talk about dessert, one of the most popular dessert will be froyo. Froyo is actually short form for frozen yogurt. The texture is quite similar to ice cream. Even the taste can be close to ice cream flavour too. The biggest differences is the ingredients. Froyo is definitely more healthier than ice cream. This vanilla foryo topping with strawberries and peach taste very sweet. The mixture of both fruits makes a great combination. Especially with the little bit sourish of strawberries.
