Otea signature drink Cry Feb 28, 2013
Categories : Stall / Warung | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

We are having our pasar malam night walk and stumble upon this stall that sell bubble tea in pasar malam. Since the emergence of Chatime few years back, bubble tea is now in Pasar malam as well. The prize per cup of tea is about RM3 for a cup of tea, we ordered their Otea signature drink.

The drink is just a normal red tea and that's about it, quite out of our expectation of a bubble tea. Service crew is not too bright, didn't put on their smiley face

Spending per head: Approximately RM3(宵夜)

What is Mediterranean dinner without some meat? So, I ordered Ternera Con Vino Tinto which is also known as Sauteed Rib Eye Beef in red wine sauce. There’s nothing to shout about this dish as I think the meat is not so tender and a little overcooked. The wine sauce doesn’t help either by being too sweet. But, over presentation look nice and that’s it. Nice presentation but not so good taste.

Curry laksa Cry Feb 28, 2013   (Related Review)

Today i head out to Berjaya Times Square and saw this kiosk selling laksa and there are actually people buying it and eating on the small tables there. Curious, so i ordered the junior size, you get to choose many choice of noodles and i choose Mee and Mee Hoon.

The curry soup isn't very great, not a very nice one. The curry soup is very oily, not so many ingredient. I would prefer a stronger flavored soup than this one, which is too light for my taste bud.

Unagi Cheese Roll Cry Jan 31, 2013   (Related Review)

I am being informed by the waiter at Edo Ichi that this Unagi Cheese Roll is one of the specialty here. So proceed to order one set which priced at RM 28.00. The roll are made up with a combination of egg, crabsticks, cucumber and rolled with seaweed and rice, finally topped with a very tiny slice of unagi and cheese. Seriously, I feel cheated looking at the small pathetic unagi sitting on top of a big cheese roll. Due to the small size of the unagi, it fails to brings out the unagi taste together with other ingredient in this dishes.

Unagi Kabayaki Set Cry Jan 31, 2013

Edo Ichi Japanese Restaurant in Solaris Dutamas is a pork free Japanese restaurant. So for all Muslim folks out there, you can dine here with a peace of mind.

I ordered the Unagi Kabayaki Set, for the price of RM32.00. The portion is quite compare Sushi Zanmai (my favourite Japanese restaurant in Klang Valley). I will definitely enjoy this dishes if Edo Ichi is more generous with the unagi and the sauce. Overall, it was an ok dishes for me.
