Too many piggy fat  Cry Dec 29, 2012   (Related Review)

Well, i am a frequent patron to One utama, so here i am here again smile trying out new dishes, this time i like to try out their pork meat, i heard that Vietnamese pork meat is very good, i don't know how true it is. smile
Pork meat set

Pork meat set

The pork set comes quite similar to what i had experience with the chicken set, it served with one soup (or i rather call it Ajinomoto soup) a crunchy spring roll, a cold and spicy salad, a cold and overcooked fried egg, a bowl of white rice and of course the pork. It is a typical steamed pork to me, and it is very oily because it serve with the fat tissue, having too much of it make me lose the appetite to eat it further, i cannot finish this dish....i only take the meat and left over the fat....didn't really ate much here. But i heard the real "essence" is here with the fat though tongue

Overly sweet tiramisu cake  Cry Dec 29, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Bar & Pub | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops

Most of my friends swear that Alexis have the best tiramisu cake in town. I digress and plan to try it on my own one day and see if it's up to my standard lol

One fine afternoon while window shopping with my bf, we passed by Alexis and saw the tiramisu sitting beautifully inside the glass chiller in front of the restaurant. So I went in and order one tiramisu for both of us. Portion wise, I must say that the portion is really GENEROUS! It comes together with some strawberry sauce to be taken together with the cake (for those who wants a hint of sour taste in a cake). The tiramisu cake is sprinkled with pecan, caramelised and contains a little bit of cognac. I have to say it is very different from the usual tiramisu cake we ate.

Maybe due to over caramelized, the top part of the cake is really difficult to bite and I finally leave the top layer behind and just finish the rest of the cake. If it wasn't because of the over nut and over caramelized, this will be my favorite tiramisu in town. Too bad!

Categories : Malaysian variety | Stall / Warung | Burgers / Sandwiches

Last time i eat at this restaurant, i have a bad experience with their burger where there is a heavy smell of Charcoal. That day, i happen to pass by there so i decided to give this stall another try, after all i might get a better burger today smile

The crowd is almost the same as last time, mostly waiting for their burgers, ahh...i think i have to go for a long wait again sad

The burger i ordered today is "Hot chic" this time i waited almost 20 minute for 1 burger, too long for me....sad At first look the burger is over-sauce, too many sauce on the burger that it kill the original grill taste of the burger. Again, this time i still can taste the Charcoal in my burger and not for a good reason like "Charcoal" bread but a real charcoal taste sad

Homemade burger Cry Dec 27, 2012

We spotted this burger stall while on our way to NZ Wangsa Maju. As we are unable to find any parking spot nearby NZ, we decided to try this burger bakar stall instead. There's nothing to lose as we never try any burger bakar before. Looking at the customer around the stall which is not too crowded, we expect the service should be fast too..

We ordered burger Isabella with an extra cheese (RM10) which is a homemade chicken + shrimp patty as according to the menu shown at the stall. Price is really expensive for a roadside stall and we thought maybe the portion is bigger than normal...
Seating

After waiting for the burger to arrive like forever (which is around 30 minutes), Isabella finally come to me. One bite and we immediately knew that this is really a homemade burger with its rich in chicken and shrimp taste which is a good combination. But however the burger had the taste of charcoal, because of the close proximity of the charcoal used in the grilling process, spoil the whole burger.

One piece of advice, dont come here on empty stomach as you will be mad with their slow pace and service. Everything looks very slow around there and the staff is not rushing at all!

Tasteless Ramen  Cry Dec 26, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

This is the 2nd time i visited this restaurant after my first trial at the Paradigm mall, which is rather an "okay" experience. The decoration and services is quite the same with the one in Paradigm mall, well at least they get to maintain the standard. I quite like the concept of their decoration, it bring out the feeling of authentic Japanese feeling, and yet manage to combine the modern decorative idea.
"Ultimate ramen"

"Ultimate ramen"

But their dish, is not really up to expectation, in fact one of the worst i had tried in Klang Valley. The soup is basically tasteless, the Egg York is not half boil, in their case it is almost close to full boil egg already. The texture of the Ramen is not smooth, it is quite hard to break. The pork they serve is too thin to have a good tasting, not a good quality pork. sad
