Bukit Mertajam Yam Rice in Eat Food Village has a few set meal for you to choose. Each set meal comes together with yam rice, stewed egg and tofu and soup. I chose stewed pork as my main dish. The flavoured lean meat was quite dry and not tender. The sauce was thick and delicious. The yam rice was fragrant. The egg and tofu were tasty.
Overall the meal was satisfying.

After having my breakfast in Nasi Kandar Pelita. We walked across the road to buy after meal desserts. This mobile stall sell variety of fried foods, such as fried popiah, fried lobak kueh, fried new year cake (nian gao), fried banana and lots more.

We bought fried nian gao, fried tapioca and fried banana. The outer layer was crispy and soft. The banana was so sweet and melts in the mouth. Thumbs up for this scrumptious dessert.

Restoran Choon Yien sell char siew, siew yuk, chicken rice and noodles in the morning. But at night, they have stir fry dishes.

One of the dishes we ordered was claypot salted fish pork belly. The flavoured pork belly was moist and tender. The pork belly has equally layered of fats and meat. It was cooked with generous amount of salted fish.
This dish was very tasty and appetizing.

Pork intestine and fish fillet congee. The congee was velvety smooth with delightful fresh fish fillet hidden within. The chinese cruller (yau cha kwai) was fried till golden brown. The texture was not puffy. However it was crispy and fragrant. The pork intestine was crispy and it does not have the "strong" pork smell.

Iced Yin Yang was good. It was smooth and thick.

This delectable Chinese pastries were the last dish served on my brother's wedding. The pastries were called Holiday Villa Special Fancy Duet.
On the left, were the mini lotus paste pastry. This bitesize pastry was crispy on the outside. It has the buttery taste. The lotus paste inside was not too sweet and the texture was smooth. On the right, was layered cake with lotus paste filling. The pink colour slices were the sponge cake. The texture were very spongy. The fillings in between the cake were lotus paste. It was not sweet and rich lotus taste. The cake was topped with crushed nuts.
