I always have my dinner in Taipan, although there are not much choices but it's just so near to my house.

One day after dinner i decided to try out the bubble milk tea shop called Yofresh in Taipan. I've pass by this shop a few times, but have never try out the drinks there. Being a dessert lover, why not just give this a try.

Nothing spectacular about the facade of this shop, it just looks like any other bubble milk tea shop.Simple settings of the shop.
I've realize they too sell ice blended something similar with the famous snowflake. They too have soya ice flavor. They do not have much choices to choose from compared to snowflake.I only eat soya ice series in snowflake and i adore it, so i wana try one Yofresh's soya ice too.
I ordered set A that comes with Handmade Taro and sweet potato balls, green bean, grass jelly and pearls.

The portion is big but the taste wise i still love snowflakes. The taro and sweet potato balls and chewy but some what felt snowflakes serves better taro balls. But the pearls are a bit hard. they dun have the bouncy feeling when u bite into them. The bad part is the grass jelly, The texture is way too soft, too strong grass jelly aroma, it sort of killed the taste of the soya ice. The soya is just okay, The texture is soft and fine, but i felt snowflake's have more soya aroma in it. I dun't fancy green beans, and this taste like just normal green beans. overall just okay, nothing to shout about.
my friend ordered Refreshing fruit tea it has a combination of sweet and sour of the passion fruit. She asked for less sweet that comes out just nice. You can feel the aroma of the passion fruit, its really cooling and refreshing. I don't really fancy teas and all, normally i go for their original bubble milk tea. Overall, this tea could give you the cooling and thirst quenching feeling.

I still prefer snowflakes and Chatime.....

I've always adore cakes and can't really say no to them. This time i'm here @ Alexis to have some Yummy cakes. Alexis have been quite famous for their cakes. Today, me and Angie have chosen 2 pieces of cakes! when i am younger, i used to eat tiramisu cake but nothing beat the tiramisu cake in Alexis. This cake is coated with caremel coated nuts. The sponge cake is dipped in coffee and cognac. The small of the coffee and cognac is not very strong just nice all together. There are also layers of cream cheese and chocolate in between the sponge cake. There is a bit of sour raspberry sauce to eat with the cake it makes the cake a bit sweet and sourish! Mixed Fruit Meringue, Normally meringue are often made too sweet as the meringue is already sweet and the cream are sweet too. But for these ones in Alexis, The Meringue are made just nice. The airy meringue are sweet but the cream is not. Add together with the strawberries which is sour and the blueberries that are sweet, this cake is simply heaven.

A bit of fact: Meringue is originally from french n swiss. Its made from whipped egg whites and suger until is foamy and airy then baked.

This is another post about my birthday! haha, Im a Leo and i just passed my birthday 2 weeks ago. In this post, i will be writing my experience dining in Alexis that was a treat by my babe Angie!

I've been to Alexis a few times now, mostly here for the cakes. This time is for lunch. I ordered watermelon juice, freshly squeeze, very cold and refreshing! Sweet even without adding any sugarI ordered the smoked salmon sandwich. It is accompanied with golden brown wedges fried till perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft and hot in the inside and a side salad that is with a sour tangy sauce! The bread is wheat bread lightly toasted plus the salty smoked salmon eaten with wild rocket and capers. There is a crunchy, fresh, sourish taste that actually goes really well with each other. Happy Me on that day!

It was my birthday week and Angie treated me for lunch at Alexis!

I been here 2 times, and the last time was terrible. Both main course that i ordered are terrible. But Angie said she wana try the cakes here, so i give Alexis a second chance.

Angie ordered the Chicken and Mushroom Pie.The chicken pie filling is is placed in bowl top with a pastry on the bowl and they baked it till the pastry is puffy and flaky. The fillings of the mushroom pie is very creamy with quite a generous portion of Chicken and mushrooms. They also serve with a large portion of shoestring fries, fried till just nice with a dash of salt. Not to forget the side salad to finish of the dish!This is the pretty lady who treated me lunch!

My friend ordered Chicken Escalope during our visit on Sunday. When the dish came the presentation was quite nice. With the piece of chicken that is fried till golden brown and some greens beside. The chicken is quite a big portion but flatten. there are also a few pan fried cherry tomatoes on top of the chicken. Escalopes is actually a word from France, it means a piece of meat, any kind, being pound and flatten.The outer layer of the meat is chrispy bread crumbs, which is quite nice. But to our disappointment, the chicken is very dry and they did not drain out the oil for frying properly so underneath the chicken is very oily. Even after squeezing the lemon juice the meat is still very dry. There is no sauce to eat with the chicken. unless you mix ketchup with it.
The greens are fresh and refreshing.
