My friend ordered Chicken Escalope during our visit on Sunday. When the dish came the presentation was quite nice. With the piece of chicken that is fried till golden brown and some greens beside. The chicken is quite a big portion but flatten. there are also a few pan fried cherry tomatoes on top of the chicken. Escalopes is actually a word from France, it means a piece of meat, any kind, being pound and flatten.

The outer layer of the meat is chrispy bread crumbs, which is quite nice. But to our disappointment, the chicken is very dry and they did not drain out the oil for frying properly so underneath the chicken is very oily. Even after squeezing the lemon juice the meat is still very dry. There is no sauce to eat with the chicken. unless you mix ketchup with it.
The greens are fresh and refreshing.

Lunch @ Alexis The Gardens Cry Aug 14, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Bar & Pub | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops

It was a Sunday afternoon, after watching movie, me and my friend headed to Alexis for late lunch. I've been here once to enjoy the cakes. this is the 1st time eating their food. Alexis is a nice cozy restaurant where you can enjoy cakes with your loved ones. The decor of the restaurant is simple but with a touch of elegant.

I ordered the Vietnamese Beef Noodle, I was told by the server that this is the latest version of the beef noodle. Previously the bean sprouts are separated in another plate. Now this is all together in one.

Quite a big bowl of noodles and beef. But i dun quite like the taste of the soup. It tasted weird. I don't know how to explain, but the soup tasted way too sweet. It definitely tasted different from the Pho i ate in Vietnam. The beef meat is quite hard and course. the bean sprouts are uncooked, but its suppose to be that way. I tried finishing the bowl of noodles due to it was a treat from my friend, but its just unbearable. at the end i only ate the beef and left the noodles.

What a bad experience for my 1st dining here.

Its my graduation week, and my mum is here in KL. I brought her to Publika, cause I love this place and i know she will love this place too. After walking for around 1 hour in the grocery store, we decided to eat dinner here. I've dine in Swine before, so i decided to try out Ben's general food store for a change.

The atmosphere is like a very western style, simple, vintage designs. They try to make it as if its like a butchery stall in overseas. When we wanted to dine its around 8pm and all the tables are occupied. We had to wait around 20mins just to get a table.

I ordered Breakfast pizza! Same with the name, the pizza is tops with what you eat during breakfast, tomatoes, mozzarella, turkey bacon, chicken sausage, eggs, ketchup! Its truely a western breakfast on top of a pizza. I was quite disappointing because i did not know it would turn out this way. Its kinda weird having ketchup on yr pizza. and what more i dun fancy ketchup.

The egg in the middle made the pizza soggy and wet, the other ingredient are just normal. They put way too much ketchup on top of the pizza. The pizza bread is quite nice, but at the end, we gave up and just eat the ingredient on top. I actually looked forward to try the pizza's here, may be next time i'll try another flavor. RM23.90++ for this pizza is not worth it, although the portion is quite big. sad

KFC  (USJ)
Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Burgers / Sandwiches | Halal

You know at times you will have urge to have a meal of KFC. The yummy finger licking good taste lingers in the mouth and brain by just thinking of the goodness of KFC. See how powerful KFC is, its mind controlling. So last week, i have this urge of eating KFC and i went to the nearest KFC from my house, that is the branch in Mydin USJ.

When i reach there, not much people is in the restaurent due to the Ramadan Puasa month. To my supprise, i totally forgoten they have lauch the new KFC Flaming Crunch! its not that i am bias, normally when KFC introduce a new product, 9/10 time its yucky.

Since i am already in KFC, i just go ahead and try it.

I tah bau back, and this is how it looks like. This is the part i have to say, " it tasted really bad."
I am so dissapointed in my KFC meal that i wanted that much. Its way too spicy, till you cant really taste the chicken anymore. what is worse, after the 1st piece, you might feel that your tongue loses all it's senses because its too spicy. The cornflakes are fried till too hard, i practically peel of the crunchy skin off and just ate the chicken meat inside. what is eat KFC without eating the skin right? Its really tasted weird, there is no words that could express my feelings.

Please bring back my original spicy chicken?
sad

Breakfast @ Chocolate Cry Aug 14, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Sweets/Snack

It was early in the morning and i am waiting for my flight at LCCT. I was walking around the airport finding a place for breakfast and i saw Theobroma Chocolate Lounge is serving breakfast promotion.

The promotion is Mushroom cheese omelet that comes with 2 pieces of garlic bread & baked beans and a cup of coffee or cappuccino. The comelet, i have to say its quite tasteless. Big in portion, but i barely can taste the cheese inside, It is also quite soggy, i dun know why is that so, but it seems like its not really fried but steam or using the micro to cooked it. The 2 piece of garlic bread is soft, seems like that have pre toast it. I am not a fan of baked beans, so to me, its not nice either.
I choose the cappuccino. For the cappuccino, it taste good. It has a very strong coffee flavor, add up with the foamy like. A great drink just to wake you up in the early morning.

LCCT Breakfast RM 10.90 start from 4.00am till 11.00am and only RM10.90.... For me airport food is alsway not very nice. I might just stick with mac d next time!
