First of all, I would like to mention that I totally dislike this Hokkien Mee stall.
Nopes, its not because of personal hatred or anything like that, but I just telling the true.

Why so?

First of all, this is the hokkien mee that the stall is selling.

RM 3 per bowl.

The taste of the hokkien mee totally not delicious at all.
Even if you put a full big spoon of chilly (which I do), it still does not even taste spicy at all.
And somehow, the hokkien mee to me seem so easily dry especially the soup.
And the soup have the prawn smell that I think is totally too strong.

The other thing that I really hate about this stall is the seller.
When I give her RM 50 note, she say she don't have the change and will straight away went to the counter
and make the change.
Oh well, the counter is just in front me two tables.
Then, I feel wondering when she walked pass the counter without changing any money.
Later, back to her stall and start acting normal doing her business.
So, I was sitting at my table wait patiently because I thought maybe she was too busy with the business.
But, I don't think there's a lot of customers anyway.
Then, even she serve the bowl of hokkien mee to the person beside me, she do not even return my change.
I was so frustrated and went to her stall after finishing my meal ( just half lah ) ask for the change.
Her reply 'Oh, Forgot'.
Oh my, the counter just in front me also forget but then at that time she got the balance with her even
without going to the counter and make the changes which she actually say that at first!
Well, I was wondering, if I did not go and ask for the change, I guess I will be eating a so not delicious
hokkien mee for RM 50?
Oh...WOW~!
LOL

Rice with Tom Yam Smile Jul 30, 2012   (Related Review)

So, this is just another dish that the tom yam stall at Asia Cafe sells.
This time I went there during the weekdays to avoid crowded customers at their stall.
During my last visit, I choose the instant noodle but this time I try the tom yam with rice.

So, as usual, choose the ingredients that you want.
Among the ingredients I have picked are fish balls, crab sticks, abalone, mushroom and others.
The soup of the tom yam is enough sour but in a moderate level.
The soup that they provide is quite a big bowl as well.

Yup, this is their rice.
To me, the portion of the rice is just average.
If you are a big eater, I definitely suggests you to add the rice.
Or else I don't think you will be full enough.

This is the overall picture.
The rice with the bowl of tom yam.
Total costs me RM 7 which I think is quite pricey that time compare to my last visit few days ago.

This is just one of the drinks stall at Batu Lancang Market Food Court.
The place actually have quite a number of stalls that sell drinks.
I guess they got separate their business into a few places depends on where the customers sit probably.
So, during my visit, I sit near that particular Kopi Stall, so they come and take my order smile

The stall chopstick
Just a small drink shop at the corner smile
=.=

=.=

Teh ice and Chrysanthemum

First of all, forget about the price but is very cheap.
The drinks is very sweet too especially the chrysanthemum.
I actually love their chrysanthemum very much because a lot of coffee shop that sells
this drink usually will put very less sugar.
Oh yeah, I knew that the lesser the sugar level, the better it is !
However, I just have a sweet tooth tongue
About the teh ice, well no comment....!
Just plain ordinary tho mad

Wantan Mee OK Jul 29, 2012

Categories : Indian | Food court

This is another dish from a different hawker stall in Batu Lancang Market Food Court.

Wantan Mee
RM 2.50 per plate

Firstly, the plate of wantan mee comes with noodles, char siew. wantan, and vegetables.
However, the wantan mee taste is a big disappointment to me.
The taste of the wantan mee is sort of tasteless to me.
The soy sauce is kinda too watery and the aroma is not very strong as well.
The wantan is pretty good actually with the meat stuff inside is quite soft and tender.
The portion of the noodles is pretty small for a regular costs of a wantan mee in my opinion.

Laksa Cry Jul 29, 2012

Categories : Indian | Food court

This is actually my first time visit to the Batu Lancang Market Food Court.
My first impression at that place is I think that the place is very crowded with people
and cleanliness level is quite low.
There were a lot of hawker stalls operates there.
However, most of the stalls did not even suit my appetite at all.
Okay...

Okay...

Penang Assam Laksa chopstick
RM 3 per bowl

As usual, I prefer my laksa to be plain without all the vegetables.
First of all, the laksa soup is just average.
Not very spicy or sour at all, just plain ordinary.
The fish is also pretty hard to bite and I don't think its very fresh as well.
One thing that I did notice and very disappointed about is that the chopsticks and spoon
that the stall provided is not very clean.
Portion of the serving is fine, very average for the price that they charged bowl
