Dakgalbi for dinner @Uncle Jang OK Sep 14, 2012

Categories : Korean | Restaurant | BBQ | Group/Family dining

Korean dinner for us to tried out heard that Uncle Jang is famous in town and since I'm back from korea wanted to eat Dakgalbi which is something like a whole lum sum of chicken cook with vegie's on a flat hot plate with korean spices.

Uncle Jang offers non spicy and spicy dakgalbi and minimun order is two portion thus I mix my order with non spicy & spicy and I added a ramen since the portion is super big *glances from the entrance of others customers table*tongue If I add rice it will be super full for us. The provide us white radish, green lettuce, garlic and korean sauce. The white radish is a good use if when you feel spicy and you can't take the spiciness it can help you to reduce the spiciness and not forgetting they have free flow of water.tongue

Talking about the Dakgalbi it taste like full of "MSG" in my opinion and I find it not really nice and the main taste about it is like mixing korean sauce with the chicken and the potato portion is very little. Any how if you want to experience this kind of meal this is a good shop for you to have Dakgalbi since this shop is so famous and we do not have much Dakgalbi shop in KL.

Without going out to the heart of KL to reach Malacca I just can have Malacca Portuguese Cuisine nearby my office. Simply Mel's offers Malacca Portuguese Cuisine and as I flip through the menu they have many varieties to choose from they even have set lunch.
Menu

Menu

Ordered Ayam pongteh set for my lunch it comes with free appetizer which is a ball of fired cincalok it taste good! tongue It also comes with a plain white rice, vegies ( cabbage), omelette and not forgetting the chili sauce.

For the ayam pongteh it comes in small portion I have 3 slices of potatoes and consider a the chicken drumstick is serve half. sad

Although the food taste nice but the portion was too little and is kinda pricey. This meal cost RM 14++

Quick lunch at Delicious Café OK Sep 05, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Burgers / Sandwiches

Went to Delicious Café to have our quick lunch and when we flip throughout the menu we spotted that they are offering some new dishes. So we order it and try out!

Pumpkim risotto (RM25.90) seafood taste fresh and the smel of cheese taste are strong; you really can taste the sweetness out of the pumpkin.

Harrisa Parmigiano Baked Eggplant (RM22.90) It taste super salty and it is full of eggplant.sad It feels good if there is a plain rice to match with..hahaha..
Not my kind of dish thus I ask the waiter to change another dish for me as I really can't stand the saltiness of the eggplant and the mozzarella cheese. So kind of them changing a new dish for me wihtout charging double price lol

Thus I order a plan dish which is Aglio Olio Spagethhi with extra shikate sundries tomatoes due to the saltiness of the Harrisa Parmigiano Baked Eggplantshocked

So for dessert we ordered Chocolicious Fudge (RM14.90) I felt so indulge after eating this it feels better after eating my main dish (the previous eggplant dish). It comes with vanilla ice cream.See how the chocolate melted..OMG so delicious it felt warm. After eating it we are super duper full!!!.

Thumbs Up for their good service lol

Went to tried out this shop and which is located at so called" Korean Village" in Ampang with my buddies

We order green tea n it cost us RM 5 kinda expensive! Normally korean restaurant have free flows but this don't.

Variety of side dish.

Korean Spicy Stir-fried Rice Cake is not so spicy.

Fried Korean pancake

Kimchi soup it contains big mandu (dumplings) super huge!!

This the dessert they gave which is like malaysian style "ais kacang" Taste awful.

I forgot to take the pic of our BBQ food ,we order beef n pork buddies said beef nice (i can't taste it coz i can't consume beef) The pork taste sweet n i like it.

Overall, the food is okay and they price is slightly expensive compare dao rea and it is just a small shop located in the Korean village of Ampang.

Colorful xiao long bao  OK Aug 29, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Went to Paradise Dynasty to try out their Colorful xiao long bao which comes in 8 COLOURS where it represent different flavour each.

Note : even though they have different flavours but the meat is the same which is pork the only different is they use different flavour type of oil to make the dumplings.

Here are my opinion based on the flavours:

Green colour will be the ginseng flavour it taste kinda herbal and yeah you really can get ginseng taste from there.

Black color is black truffle which means chocolate flavour. Dunno how to explain it.

Brown color is foie gras It is my favourite!! You can't deny the taste of foie gras!! tongue Thumbs up!!!

Light orange is crab roe as it said you do have a slice of crab roe with pork in it crabby taste.

Yellow color will be cheesy easy where they really insert few sheered of cheese in there and if you are a fan of cheese
stuff you might enjoy it you can also order a basket of cheese flavour xiao long bao.

Red color is sze chuan flavour kinda spicy and their using chilli oil.

Grey colour will be onion flavour I din not tried it not a fan of onion. so based on bf taste is taste like onion oil LOL!

White colour is basically original taste and I still prefer Dragon-I xiao long bao compare to their one.

Besides that we also ordered a bowl of noodles. They have the milky pork soup base!

Was to full at that time to order more stuff.
