Did not expect this little double storey bungalow converted into a Jap restaurant serves very good authentic jap cuisine.

Very limited space for big group of diners. There are 2 private rooms for 10 diners on Level 1 and 2 small tatamis. Ground Floor will be an open sushi counter and dining.

Cosy & romantic ambience. Serving is fast. Food are of high quality. Food Menu is on Ipad. Very limited parking space. Dine-in, suggest to make reservation to avoid disappointment.

[Yellowtail sashimi] - Yellowtail sashimi, silky smooth texture, taste sweet without any sauce or seasoning. I usually take it without sauce as it has its own natural sweetness. If you wish to have a feel of "kick", perhaps along with wasabe!

Nice ambience and service is fast.

[Hot stone Salmon] - Always return for this dish. Hot stone salmon is certainly better and more tasty than grill salmon. Salmon on hot stone brings up the sweet taste of the Salmon and maintain the temperature unlike grill which I find it is overcook. slurp!

[Garlic rice in the stone bowl] - This is fantastic, first try, love it immediately. Never knew when the garlic rice maintained in a hot stone bowl can bring out such a good garlic aroma and taste. As we were enjoying it, I never stopped complimenting it. Love it!

[Soba, tempura & sashimi set meal] - Good for 2. Portion in each item is reasonable but variety on the tray. Always love to enjoy variety in a small quantity of food. That is the way to taste better and more. smile

This is the most affordable drinks we have chosen wisely, Logan with Winter Melon, cost RM10.80 a jar before tax. The portion can be shared with 3 adults. We both had more than 3 glasses each, very filling.

The drinks was not too sweet and just right for our sweetness level. It has many longan and winter melon other than the juice. After drinking it, felt so much of cooling effect in our body system.

Worth the price!tongue

I have ordered Honey Ginger tea which served in a hot pot, cost RM5.90. During the current promotion, 50% discount or half price on all beverages during lunch hours, we only needed to pay half the price with 6% government tax. No service tax is imposed so far.

When I first had this drinks, I have immediately fallen for it being the reason, the drinks was so concentrated with ginger taste and love the spicy taste as well. It has given the soothing effect to my stomach in particular, then my appetite too. The portion can be shared, as it served a medium size pot. Certainly serving quality Honey Ginger Tea with real sliced gingers not ginger flavoured tea as you can see it in the photo.

According to its homepage, "the Restaurant is located humbly in a residential area". "The motto at My Elephant is serving quality Thai food with a healthy twist - healthy eating, healthy living."

Having friends' birthday dinner at this wonderful place, the restaurant is like a hidden gem. A few of us have ordered each a glass of the signature drink named Citron Cooler. The Citron Cooler has calamasi and pandan leave as decor as well as the flavour of lemongrass in the drink, it gave so, so, so refreshing and cooling effect. The name is really well fitted to its taste and appearance.
