The Ship @ Batu ferinngi Cry Jul 17, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Steaks / Chops | Seafood

The ship is well known as the best steak, but personally I don't like steak so I just order chicken chop.

This is the black pepper grilled chicken. It cost me 20+ but, I have no idea why the fries and the chop they served is cold. It was crowded in The Ship, but their food can be served very fast. I wonder it is they have prepared everything, and just pour the sauce on the chop. I don't deny many restaurant did that, but well, to be qualified to price your customers at higher price, you should at least serve us "hot" food.

Well, this is the banana boat dessert, this is nice. The ice-cream taste smooth.

The service there is okay. I just couldn't understand why they serve such quality food with such high price, but the place still that crowded. Maybe I went a wrong time, the better chef is on leave or maybe due to other reason that I couldn't think of.

Buy 1 free 1 chicken rice OK Jul 10, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles | Mixed rice | Yong Tau Fu

There is always a promotion in Restaurant EST in livingsocial.com. There were always good response and I bought the chicken rice buy 1 free 1 voucher as well.
Actually I tried the chicken rice before, it is nice. But the sauce is a lil salty and my bf like that, because he always fancy on “saltier” food. The first time I went there, I ordered chicken rice added on the pork “lap cheong”. It actually costs me almost RM7. It was quite a shock to hear the price. This time I went there during dinner time. The quality is bad. The rice and the chicken is cold and I felt it is not fresh. So I would strictly recommend to go during lunch but not dinner time to ensure the freshness of food.
Restaurant EST is well renovated with air-con. I think this is why they price their food slightly higher. Even the roti bakar, it is very crispy but the price is about RM2 per plate [2 slides of bread]. Besides, I saw there are many singer photos as well. I believed the restaurant do invite those singer to perform sometime to entertain the customer during dinner time.
There is many different food stalls ranging from hokkien mee, curry mee, economic rice. This would be a nice place for lunch compare to kopitiam, as they have air-con. You can avoid getting sweat in fan kopitiam during lunch time.

Fish heat fried mee hoon Smile Jul 03, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

This is one of the most famous cuisine in Penang. The shop is just in the same row with Sunway Hotel.

This is called Fish head bee hoon, unlike the usual Fish head Bee Hoon which serves in soup, the way it looks is just like a plate of normal char bee hoonl However there is actually fried fish meat beneath the bee hoon, which they are crisply fried. The char bee hoon is not that oily but it’s still tasty.

The shop is just like a normal one, not a fancy one. Usually the restaurant is crowded with people with blank tables, and they are actually waiting for this special cuisine. So If you want to enjoy this food, you should have to be a little patient.

Nasi Kandar @ Bali Bali OK Jul 03, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Café | Dim sum

Nasi Kandar is one of the famous foods in Penang, there is one stall selling delicious nasi kandar at reasonable prices locates in Jalan Sungai Dua, It is the first stall of Bali Bali reataurant. The business hour is from around 6pm to 9pm.
Just like the normal nasi kandar stall there are a vast variety of curries like Curry Chicken, Curry Prawn, Curry beef, Curry squid etc and fried chicken also. And you can choose to serve with white rice or tomato rice. Personally I prefer Tomato rice since it is more aromatic and fragrant.
I want to pin point that his beef is nice to me, it is not that sweet and not too spicy. It is kind of salty. It is a perfect match with nasi tomato.
Usually a dinner will only cost you Rm 5 something only, depends on what dish you take.

Cendol @ Penang Road Smile Jun 26, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Malaysian variety | Stall / Warung | Desserts

I like Penang Road Cendol so much. Normally, I hang around by motorbike with my boyfriend. Every time when we George Town, for sure we will try a bowl of Penang Road Cendol before proceed to our destination. The icy cendol taste even nicer when we have traveled under the hot sun.

They are so famous and it's glad that the boss son have expand their business to a few branches in Penang island and mainland. While, we still prefer the originality cendol in this Penang Road's stall. You know, if you try it under the hot sun, the satisfaction is higher than having Cendol in their branches located in shopping mall.
