Do you love Tutti Fruti yogurt ice cream
Yummy right, and it is expensive as well
But now you have an alternative in Penang Island Sungai Dua Tesco Extra

There is a stall over there selling yogurt ice cream at a surprisingly low price RM0.99 only

The stall is as simple as an ordinary ice cream stall in shopping center.
There are quite a number flavors of ice cream sold, with the service of warm and welcoming staff

There is only one flavor for Yogurt ice cream, that is natural.
The ice cream is not that creamy but fluffy.
And it tastes light sweet and sour just a lovely yogurt
Therefore it still taste delicious after your meals
And It is extremely appetizing before you meal as well

Here is it smile

Yummy Yummy

If you are students of USM, you should go and try it, it is real cheap, and spread this lovely news around. =)

There is a very traditional food sold in Penang, Magazine road, and in the evening only.
That is "Tang Yuan", If you are not a chinese or you are not local you may not be familiar with this cuisine, because it is a chinese cuisine. And you must try it.

Ok if you wanna try this delicious cuisine, you can head to Magazine road and the stall is just opposite Trader Hotel, or First Avenue, a shopping Mall. This stall is a place you can go if you feel like eating some "Tang Yuan"

If you have no idea about the food, It is sort of ball made of Glutinous rice flour, where some of them the bigger one actually have some filling inside it, black sesame or peanut crunch, and this cuisine is served in a bowl of sweet ginger soup. Check the photo beside.

Ya come to the price, The price varies according to the size you order, it ranges funnily from RM 2.20 to RM 3.30, RM 4.40 & RM 5.50. I would say the price is reasonable and affordable in Penang. Below shows the difference price Tang Yuan. which is RM2.20 & RM3.30. The only difference should be the additinal 1 big Tang Yuan with filling at price RM3.30.

And lastly, I wanna tell yall, the the seats are limited, if you wanna have it there please be a little bit patient, and if you see unoccupied table, please, go ahead and share the table, this is the culture and don't be shy.

The taste of the food is very nice. The chicken is very smooth which we wouldn't resist to try more and more. The rice is welly cook. While, the fried Meng Kuang is normal only. So, i would not recommend this dish for you. Yet, the price of the food is reasonable.

There is one meal RM 1 Kuey Teow Th'ng is definitely good for a lady. I tried once before and I like that, as I don't eat much and the RM1 small portion is just nice for me. It is nice, because, the soup should be cooked by the chicken oil instead if the MSG that is not health. So it is not taste like too many seasoning. I wish there are more hawkers will sell the small portion with price RM1 just like what Fatty Loh sell.

However, honestly, I would commend that the service there is below average. The waiters and the hawkers all are not friendly to us. Maybe their food is too famous once upon and cause them to act "too proudly". It is obvious that the customers have been reduced so many if compare to previously.

7 Village Noodle Shop Smile Jun 04, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

7 Village Noodle Shop (七廊粿條湯) , is very famous koay teow th’ng in Raja Uda. Currently they have 3 branches in Penang. Raja Uda, Bukit Tengah <near auto city>, and also Nibong Tebal.

Koay teow th’ng is a noodle soup. The noodle is white colour and it is so called "koay teow" and th'ng carry the meaning of soup in Hokkian Dialect. Personally I would say, actually koay teow th’ng is quite a simple dish. Sometimes, it is really hard to differentiate which stall sell better koay teow th’ng. Okay, for me, the most important is how they cook their soup. People can cook their soup by using flavoring or cook with the meat likes pig bones, chicken bones and so forth. What I meant is, if I felt very thirsty after eating the noodle, i pretty sure they are using flavoring like <MSG> to cook the soup. I would not try again next time.

Okay, 7 village noodle shop have operated more than 50 years, and it starts from selling through bicycle around until the 3 big branches in different part of main land. You can probably have the idea on their food. They wouldn’t get recognize and accepted if the food is too BAD.

Food that is shouldn't be missed off when visiting 7village Kuey Teow Th'ng is their famous guo jiang and lobak. Both of them is fried food. The difference between them is the fillings inside. Do remember not to miss out this famous cuisine in Penang Mainland.

Categories : Indian | Food court | Noodles

Hi travelers I guess there is a must try local food that you seriously can not miss if you are travelling in Pulau Penang. Sotong Mee, or directly translated into English is "Squid Noodle".

I have heard of it for so long and today I finally have a chance to savor the famous noodle.

The food court can be reached pretty easily, it is around the corner of Penang Unesco Heritage, just opposite the entrance of the Cornwallies.

The food court looks like a typical Malaysian food court, I mean no air-con and its not luxurious. Usually these "unluxurious" places are actually where you can taste the true cultures of Penang, just like the Penang road Cendol.

This how the food looks like, you will be so delightful if you are feverish over spicy food, it is quite spicy, the squid is cut into slices, they are easily chewable. You must squeeze the piece of lime comes with the noodle, because it makes the taste wonderful.

The price of the food is reasonable, it ranges from RM 4.00 to RM 6.00, depends on the size you ordered. If you order extra squid slices, don't feel stunned by a higher price.
The price mainly depends on the size you order

Coconut Shake
If you can't eat spicy food or you can't stand the spiciness, there is a solution for you, "Coconut Shake", which is also another attraction of this food court. The price is RM 2.50 for a glass. This beverage is a mixture of coconut and vanilla ice cream, you can see the ice cream float submerges from the glass. The taste is great and icy, especially you know Malaysia is a equatorial country, the weather is so hot. It effectively relieves your heat.

So if you have a chance to visit the Great Cornwallies, why don't you have a lunch over there. Oh yeah, There are also other delicious food in the food court. Cheers
