Desserts @ Tony Smile Jul 16, 2012

Tony Roma's is a great place to dine at. I went there with Jol & Vincent to celebrate Jol's birthday. After finishing our main dishes, we had the Mini Trio Desert which consisted of three different types of mini deserts.

Mini trio desert (RM 19.90)

The mini deserts are the Mini Cookie, Carrot Cake and Brownie sundae.....All three desserts were delicous. We truly enjoyed them. What a great way to end a great dinner. My favourite among the 3 is the Brownie sundae. Very rich in chocolate flavor which blended very well with the vanilla ice cream....The cookie is not bad too; chocolate sauce were drizzled on the surface of the cookie. The carrot cake was a little bit too sweet for my liking......

Roasted Beef Noodle Smile Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

When it comes to instand noodles, my all time favourite is Nissin Foods' ramen noodles. Nissin Foods from Japan was established in 1948. Their products were sold in many countries such as Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Canada, Sweden, Malaysia and Australia.

I got my roasted beef noodles from Shojikiya for around RM 11 for five packets.

Roasted Beef Noodle

Attractive red packaging.....

This packet of noodle is consisted of noodles (duh...), a packet of seasoning powder (the ingredients are salt, flavor enhancer, sugar, onion, garlic, thickener, coriander leaves and etc...) and a packet of seasoning paste which is made of palm oil, beef, soya sauce, colouring, salt, sugar and etc.....

After cooking for 3-5 minutes, my roasted beef noodle is ready to be eaten. I added some vegetables, an egg and some beef into the noodles. A bowl of warm and satisfying noodles to kill my hunger pangs. The soup base is very tasty. I drank all the soup....hehe....some of you must be thinking, what an unhealthy eater I am, finishing up the msg loaded soup....lol...For those who are health concious, you can cut down on the amount of seasoning but I am sure the taste won't be the same.

Kimchi-Ji-Qae Smile Jul 15, 2012

It was nice of Yoke Chen to come visit me in Taman Desa sometime in September 2011. We went to Seoul Korea Restaurant in Taman Danau Desa for our dinner. The dinner came with lots of free side dishes (similar to other korean restaurants). Thus, we ordered only 3 dishes as the side dishes were sufficient to fill us up. One of the main dishes that we ordered was the Kimchi-Ji-Qae.

Kimchi-Ji-Qae (RM16)
This Kimchi Ji-Qae is actually a stew consisted of Kimchi, onions, diced tofu and chicken. The soup is very appetizing with slightly sour and spicy taste. The stew also came with a bowl of rice. The stew goes very well with the rice when mixed together. A great way to start off a meal. Yummyyyy..............

Mother's Day Smile Jul 15, 2012   (Related Review)

I brought mum to Manhattan's Fish Market to celebrate Mother's day back in 2010. With a minimum purchase of RM 35, mum get to eat a set of fish and chips or baked fish for free. Totally worth it. Not to forget, the foods were tasty too. The price below is the price 2 years ago, I think some of the meal prices' have increased now.

We were given this Soup of the day free...............

This is a mushroom soup....not very creamy but nice to warm my tummy..........

Bread slices were given to start of our meal. Dip them into the soup to make the bread softer and tastier.

Seafood Pasta (RM19.90)

You can either choose to have either the spagetti or fettuccine. I chose fettuccine; which was tossed in a flavorful creamy sauce. The pasta came with 2 slices of garlic bread. Besides, there were lots of other ingredients in the pasta such as deep fried calamari, fish slices and sauteed shrimp.

Butter Prawn (RM19.90)

The prawn is rich in butter flavor but I found it overcooked. A bit tough to eat.

Baked Fish Set (free because we spend RM 30 and above)

By the time the free baked fish set arrived, mum and I were already quite full. Had a hard time finishing up the fish. The baked fish was flavorful and served over a bed of garlic herb rice. The fish was fresh with soft smooth flesh. Didn't have the fishy taste. Yummy yummy...........

Close shot of the fish.............lots of greens being added on top of the fish.....good for digestion............

Dinner @ Manhattan Smile Jul 15, 2012

I went to Manhattan Fish Market for dinner with Jol and Vincent. The three of us ordered their Caesar Salad and Seafood Platter for dinner. Although only two main dishes, we were totally full....Had a hard time finishing the food as the portions were big.

Caesar Salad

The salad is full of greens...lots of fresh lettuces and tomato slices....Besides, hard boiled egg and bread crumbs were also given....Mix all the ingredients together and you will get a very healthy and tasty meal.....All three of us felt very healthy after eating the salad...lol...

Seafood Platter (around RM 50)

The seafood platter is one of Manhattan's Fish Market signature dish. This dish is meant for two people but the portion is big enough to feed four people. The seafood platter consisted of a few deep fried items such as calamari, oysters, fish and prawns & fries. All these were served on a bed of garlic buttered rice. The calamari was very nice and crispy while the prawns which were covered in a special flaming sauce were fresh. My favourite is the fried oyster; crispy, fresh and sweet.
