Asam Laksa @ Sbread  Smile Jun 14, 2012

Categories : Malaysian variety | Café | Nasi Lemak | Coffee

Aside from their famous toasted Charcoal Bread, Sbread also sell tasty Penang Assam Laksa.

Penang Assam Laksa (can't recall the price but it is less than RM 9)
The bowl of asam laksa is full of mackerel, pineapple cubes, fresh mint and prawn paste for the added ‘kick’. This bowl of spicy and sour Asam Laksa really made my day.....yummy yummy.....

Finally I get to try out the food at Dubu-Dubu Seoul Food last Saturday with Chieh Yee. We ordered only one set of dish and we were served 3 free side dishes (ban chans). We had a really good lunch there. I'll be back to try their other dishes next time...Yum Yum....

Roasted Barley (RM 3.50)
Really tasted like roasted stuff...Don't like the burned taste of it...Will never order it again

Kimchi SDB-beef (RM 15.90) + the free side dishes
This set is worth the price we paid for. There were plenty of tender beef slices in it; plus an egg and some vege like onion, etc..... The soup was good too...not really sour but a bit on the spicy side. Thus, it goes really well with the rice. Mix them together and you'll get a really satisfying meal. Thumbs up for this set. Ps: if you are not a big eater, remember to share it with your friend as the set can actually feed two people. Among the 3 side dishes, I really like the kimchi...

Total damage including Ginger Tea (RM 4.90) + 10% tax = RM26.75

Cookie Puff @ Beard Papa's Smile Jun 11, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Stall / Warung | Sweets/Snack

According to Beard Papa's website, the cream puffs that they produced were known as the "World's Best Cream Puffs". There were more than 300 stores set up worldwide. Beard Papa's first store was open in Osaka, Japan by its founder; Yuji Hirota in 1999.

In order to deliver it's best products, everything in Beards Papa's is made fresh daily and using all natural ingredients without preservatives and flavorings.

I have tried their Original Vanilla and Yummy Chocolate Cream Puffs before. Craving for their cream puffs, I went to the Mid Valley outlet yesterday for their puffs. I saw one new variety in their menu, thus I decided to try it. It is the Cookie Puff. I had mine with chocolate cream filling.

Cookie Puff (RM 5.80)

Actually, there isn't much difference from the normal puffs except for its' sweet crunchy cookie bits added on top. Having said that, I still loved the puffs...

Look at the chocolate cream oozing out.....yummy..........

Friday Night at TGI Friday's  Smile Jun 06, 2012

Nice Kitchen Signage

It was a Friday and I met up with Ivan and Eugene for dinner at TGI Friday's @ The Gardens, Mid Valley. We waited about 15 minutes before getting a seat in the restaurant. Luckily it is not a long wait.

After broowsing thru the menu, we decided to share our food as the portion in TGI is quite big. We ordered 2 sets of the 2 course meal. Each set consists of one appertizer and one entree. For appetizers, we had Fried Mac & Cheese and Boneless Wings. While for the entree, we had Red Pepper Sausage & Chicken Penne and Fish & Chips. Aside from that, we also ordered their Brownie Obsession as dessert.

Thanks Ivan, for treating both Eugene and me a fantastic meal at Friday's. Definitely will go back Friday's to try out other dishes as the service there is good and the food there is not bad.

Fried Mac & Cheese (Irresistible, creamy cheeses and elbow noodles golden-fried to perfection)

Boneless Wings....very appetizing (Succulent crispy boneless chicken breast with TGI Friday's traditional Buffalo sauce)

Red Pepper Sausage & Chicken Penne (Hot Itallian sausage and chicken served over penned pasta and tossed with creamy roasted red pepper sauce & sauteed red onions and finished with shredded Parmesan cheese)

Fish and Chips (so so only....... nothing fantastic about this dish)

Brownie Obsession.....super sinful and sweet..hehe (A warm brownie covered in chocolate-fudge sauce, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and pecans)

Hehe...we finished everything

Plan B @ Bangsar Smile Jun 05, 2012

Had a great dinner with Sf to celebrate her birthday at Plan B, Bangsar Village. Initially, we planned to eat Sakae Sushi but it was closed down. Thus, we head to Plan B which is really our plan B. Lol.......

According to their website, this modern coffee shop prides itself in its specialist coffee blend and its seasonal selection of single origin beans, all roasted and ground fresh in-house daily. Apart from the usual styles, the cafe also offers alternative brewing methods such as siphon, French Press and Pour Over. Plan B 's modern Aussie-meets-New York-deli menu boasts hearty breakfasts, contemporary salads, wholesome sandwiches made with freshly baked breads; pastas, and a variety of rustic cakes and desserts.

Complimentary plain water from Plan B.......Interesting cause they put into a glass bottle resembling antiseptic solutions which are kept in a glass bottle......

Apple Mint Granita (RM 9).....
Nothing special, just like ordinary apple juice but in ice blended form......

Granita (in Italian also granita siciliana) is a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings.

Lychee Lime Granita (RM 9)
Sf's lychee lime granita........Tasted much better than my apple mint granita.....Very refreshing........

The Loaded Club Sandwich (RM 20)
The sandwich is loaded with grilled chicken, turkey bacon, roasted capsicums & avo & feta mash, stacked on egg mayo spread and held together by three slices of home-made white bread

A variety of chips accompanying the sandwich; eg: sweet potato chips and yam chips...

Prime Beef Pie (RM 22)The pie is filled with tender wagyu chunks, button mushrooms & onions in hearty gravy, served with a side salad. Look at the little alphabet "B" on top of the pastry....cute right? hehehe...Very full after finishing the whole pie by myself....yummy yummy.......

Total damage including 16 % tax = RM 69.60
