Cheesecake @ The Loaf  Smile Jun 19, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

The Loaf is not only famed for its bread but also its traditional Japanese Uhuhu Cheesecake!

Uhuhu Cheesecakes @ from RM3.20 to RM3.60 each

From left to right:
Top: Blueberry, Lemon, Oreo, Mango
Middle: Durian, Green Tea, Raspberry, Coffee
Bottom: Chocolate, Mixed Fruits, Original, Strawberry

Upon the satisfying dinner, the dessert will be The Loaf's Signature Uhuhu Cheesecake which comes in 12 unique flavours. The cheese in it is very soft and creamy, I'm now head over heels in love with its oozing texture instead of the usual melted ones.

Again, a dessert lover like me wouldn't miss any of these petite cupcakes! The best one I've sampled would be the lemon cheese, with zesty flavours lying in the cheesiness. The sour and sweet cheesy cake has really made my day!

Pizza Michelangelo's @ SOHO KL Smile Jun 19, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hotpot

Michelangelo's is famous for its Italian pizza, with thin crust and thick filling. Their most popular pizza is the mushroom pizza. It is vegetarian and healthy but I don't really like mushroom so I opted for another healthy choice.

This pizza is more like a cheese pizza, topped with abundance of mozarella, homemade pizza sauce and olive oil. The cheesiness here is quite mild, but I love the melting cheese which is so thick and creamy, with a hint of sweetness from the pizza sauce. The sauce is not tomato sauce, but it has a balance of sweet and salty taste. On top of that, the crust is good, crispy while served hot from the oven. Delicious!

Michelangelo's @ Pavilion Smile Jun 19, 2012

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Steaks / Chops | Seafood

Michelangelo's Restaurant, Deli and Bar is located at the third floor of Pavilion KL. It serves mid-range Italian fine dining in a cozy and soft light setting, with the signature firewood oven baked pizza. I have heard that their dessert is really good, so I am there to sample some.

Torta di Cioccolata (RM15.90)

This is a very delicious soft chocolate brownie, served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. The waffle crust is so rich and dense, while the melting chocolate lava in it is really sweet and thick. I love the oozing feel, and when combined with chocolate ice cream, it has a melt-in-my-mouth feel. Delicious!

Herbs & Spices @ Sri Petaling Smile Jun 18, 2012

food haven like Sri Petaling always brings me excitement from time to time, because recently I found this restaurant offering western cuisine as well as a good range of Malaysian delights.

Nasi Dagang Ayam Goreng @ RM12.00

The famous East-Coast traditional rice becomes a signature dish here, by a Kelantanese chef who is equipped with the know-hows better than anyone else here. It is accompanied with a marinated, boneless chicken chop, sambal, egg and acar which perfects the balanced meal. The crispy skin of the bird is rich in local herbs and spices flavours, whereas the flesh is fluffy inside.

Sago Melaka @ RM4.00

A homemade Sago Pudding is drenched in rich coconut milk and the house specially prepared Gula Melaka using Gula Manisan from Kelantan. Soft sago with sweet and aromatic flavours is so good that I enjoy it very much!

Chatz Brasserie at Park Royal Kuala Lumpur is back with a touch of Nyonya Influence! Celebrating the last Parent's Day, I went for a buffet featuring all kinds of nyonya food, a fusion from Malacca and Penang by Chef Debbie Teoh. The coffee house was decorated with many Nyonya artifacts, with a spacious, comfortable seating.

Ulam Platter

A dish of perfect contrast unveils the fresh green leaves which bring the cooling effect with the bright red sambal paste. I then sampled some authentic nyonya sambal, which complements well with the crunchy, crispy and minty raw vegetables. Despite of the flavours revealed, I find it rather too salty as a condiment.

Lemak Nenas Ikan Sepat

Every spoonful of the thick yellow kuah is rich in coconut milk flavours, with hints of sweet and sour pineapples. The thick, creamy curry is milder in taste as compared to the usual curry.

The food, in terms of quality, freshness and authenticity is pretty good, thumbs up to the taste and flavours too!
