1. Zinox Bar & Grill
Food craving gets stronger during Chinese New Year? Come to Zinox in Kota Kinabalu for the best pork ribs. This Western restaurant uses their secret recipe marinate sauce, it makes the meat tender and juicier too! Closed on the Eve of Chinese New Year and 1st day of Chinese New Year, they are opened by 5.00pm till 1.00am!
2. Jacknife Bar & Grill
Located at Donggongon previously, they have now shifted to Plaza 333 at Kota Kinabalu. Be it late lunch, dinner or supper, this Western restaurant serve delicious Grilled Pork Chops, Pork Burger and more. The burger patty made from minced pork meat and cooked till perfection. Open throughout the whole CNY, from Monday to Saturday from 3.00pm till 11.00pm. Come and enjoy the food!
3. Sino Taste Kitchen
Waking up early in the morning and no one is cooking at home? Come to Sino Taste Kitchen! From Nasi Lemak to Steamboat selections, this is the place for good food! Plus, come and enjoy their special Kadazan dish of Oxtail, you can hardly find it elsewhere! Open throughout the Chinese New Year, from morning till 10.00pm, enjoy your food and time here!
4. Twenty2 Crust
If you’re looking for a quick meal with your family in Kota Kinabalu while doing house visiting trips, come to Twenty2 Crust for some great delicious pizza bites. Home-made pizza crust, they are crispy and fluffy. The sauces are home-made too! Open during CNY, let’s go!
5. Bakso Twist
Why not try something different during the Chinese New Year season? What about Bakso? Beef ball that is chewy and bouncy made from beef, comes with noodles, veges and beef meat; a warm and hearty Bakso is created! Spicy and good, give it a try! They are only closed on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year!
6. Fook Yuen
Looking for pastries and food to eat with your family? Closed on the Eve of Chinese New Year and the 1st day of Chinese New Year, you can start visiting them on the 2nd day onwards! Famous for steam breads, they have an extensive menu filled with food to choose from. Nice environment, worth your time to visit them here!
7. Fully Full Restaurant
Serves Dim Sum, Noodles Yong Tau Fu and Roasted delights for breakfast, you can enjoy it as early as 7.00am if you’re wide awake and waiting for your breakfast time! As for dinner, do try their Special Pork Leg rice! A Chinese restaurant in Kota Kinabalu that you would really enjoy your time at, Fully Full is it!
8. Chan Kee Dessert
Planning to have dessert? Then head to Chan Kee Dessert in Kota Kinabalu to enjoy all the variety that they offer in the menu! Just come over for Tong Sui with your friends and family, they will sure to enjoy it too!
