This humble place has a very nice chicken rice stall. Located right next to komtar, many people work there will come here for their lunch. The chicken rice here is big in pieces and also the meat is very soft and tender. Besides that the saltiness in the chicken taste very nice. I like their oil rice here because the rice won't say too over moisture or too dry to eat.

Talking about penang local snacks, I think no one can forget about their famous loh bak. Loh bak is best to share with few people so that you can order few to eat together. I like to order their tao kua, taiwanese sausage, fu zok and also loh bak. Then they will deep fried in and later serve you a braised sauce. The sauce is similar to lor mee sauce. You dip your loh bak in the sauce and eat.

I like the koay teow soup over here. The koay teow soup in this stall, serves a very clear soup base of koay teow. There are chicken slices on top of them. The soup taste a bit salty mixtured with some sweetness. This dish look very simple. But what I think it makes it different from other stalls is the way you prepare for the soup. This dish is really simple but not simple at all.

Char Koay Teow is one of the most remarkable penang food. You can find this almost every where in every penang corner. Able to find anywhere is easy, but to locate one that is really good, is another problem. This stall serves a quite god fried koay teow. I always ask them not to put in cockles and it doesn't affect the taste of the koay teow at all. The koay teow still taste very nice to eat.

To know how popular this popiah stall is, you can just simply look at how many newspaper has covered about this stalls. The owner has pasted it in his stalls so everyone able to see how well it is. The popiah here is simply delicious. It looks similar to any popiah out there. But I think what makes it totally different is the inside of the popiah. This popiah is more crispy.

When you come to penang, one thing you must know is their laksa actually stands for asam laksa. So if you want to eat curry laksa, you should search for the curry mee stall but not come to this laksa stall. I like their asam laksa here. One of the main reason is the asam laksa soup here is very sourish and nice to eat. The fish inside the asam laksa also very big in pieces.

The ice-cream is very " durian" , which has a strong smell of durian taste and could hardly find in other places.
You can wait for the ice-cream to melt a bit, then eat togather with the red bean and corn.
For those who don't like durian, you can choose another flavor of ice-cream to mix with your ice-kacang.

Another signature homemade of this coffee shop is the colorful jelly topped on the ice-kacang.
However i could hardly describe the flavor and I don't like it much .

A good recommendation as dessert especially in these hot days!

RM4 per plate.
Very expensive indeed as there are not many ingredients in it.
They just have the basic ice kacang ingredients such as the beans, corns, and ice-cream plus
they insert their home made jelly.
And there are even durian ice-cream if you're a durian fans as the ice-cream is an home made too.
The sweetness level is average, however the portion of the ice kacang is very small in my eyes for the price
customers are paying.

After all, not the best ice kacang in town but definitely not the worse too !

RM 4 per plate.
Comes with rice, chicken, a bowl of soup and of course the chilly to complete the meal.

The soup taste awesome too.

Overall, I think the price is quite reasonable as it taste delicious and yummy yummy.
They have very good business indeed.
You need to wait for your turn to buy as they have a lot of customers queueing up.

I always love to order loh baks no matter where I am be it in Penang or KL, the most important ingredient would be the meat itself. The ones I had here was tender and soft, crispy on the outside.

Ice Kacang

The bowl of ice kacang was topped with jelly, red beans, sweet corns, durian ice cream and sugar drizzle.
The "ice" kacang came half melted. Half of the ice was melted by the time it reached our table. The ice was so coarse and tasted so awful, with the smell of tap water. The durian ice cream was also half melted, not nice, and lack of durian taste.

Unfortunately, I feel the price is very expensive since the bowl is very small only.
Its comes with various types of jelly, nata de coco, a scoop of ice-cream, home-made colourful jelly and ice.
Overall, the taste is pretty much sourish but I like it very much.
However, the homemade jelly looks nice in my eyes but I do not like the taste.
As I could say, the jelly just taste average, nothing much special about that.

Regular price for laksa but portion is quite small.
The soup to me is quite tasteless actually. Not very nice for me.
And I prefer my laksa to be plain - with no vegetables and everything, maybe that's
the reason why I feel it does not taste delicious, perhaps?
Try it for yourself and be the judge!
