I always order this fishball dumpling (Yee Mai) whenever i'm out for my morning dim sum. It is quite tasteful and was very bouncy when i first bit into it. The fish that was used to make this was clearly fresh and the steaming time for this was perfect. It was also juicy and not too salty. Only rm 3, worth every cent! continue reading

The common Dim Sum most people order is the Yee Mai, Har Kao and Siew Mai. So obviously, the standard ones is a must. This yee mai served here had the bouncy texture, and it definitely taste delectable. This Steamed Fish Ball (Yee Mai) was pretty fresh and nice. The fish used is very fresh and you will love the taste. Price is reasonable at RM3 per plate. A delicate steamed dumpling with whole or chopped-up shrimp filling and thin wheat starch skin. They are made of ingredients wrapped in a translucent rice-flour or wheat-flour skin. Though common, steamed rice-flour skins are quite difficult to make. The Har Kao was made from 1-2 fresh prawns and seasoned to perfection with some cornstarch fillers to bind and to give body to the texture. The skin was be thin enough to melt in the mouth and without breaking and spilling out the contents when picked up by the chopsticks. I would recommend you to try it out if you like prawns a lot. continue reading
