Chicken Chop with black pepper sauce. The chicken chop came with salad and mashed potato. A piece of chicken drumstick was used and the black pepper sauce was being poured on top. The black pepper sauce has black pepper taste but it was somehow diluted I would say. Thie chicken was tender though. The mashed potato was soft but it was normal. Overall, it was an average chicken chop. continue reading

I had the curry laksa which is where I had choose to served with lai fun and it is being served in an addictive-watering curry soup with the chicken, prawns, taufu, taugeh and the green vegetables with it. The curry was thick and mixed well with the lai fun which I had choosen. Not too spicy with the slurpy lai fun, it makes is just perfect to taste. Taste: 4/5Price: RM 8.90 continue reading

Located at Jaya 33, there is a classy kopitiam selling authentic Malaysian cuisine.I tried one of the chef's recommended dish - Nasi Lemak with chicken rendang. ( cost RM 10.90 ) You can choose to have the nasi lemak with rendang ayam or curry ayam. The chicken rendang cooked well with the spice, not too oily even though it cooked with santan . The nasi lemak comes with the sambal as well. The nasi lemak comes with a banana leaf at the bottom, i dont feel the lemak taste on the rice, but with banana leaf fragrance instead. The restaurant is decorated with antique like old phones, pictures, glass and even old model of sewing machine can be seen at the cashier table. continue reading

Having been a big fan of Shyet-Li's at Great Eastern Mall Ampang; I was pleasantly surprised to chance upon another Shyet-Li outlet at Jaya 33 now. They ought to open even more branches, their food's super good and flavorful. Not to be missed are their Nasi Lemak Ayam, Signature Curry Noodles, Home-Style Dry Chicken Noodles, Ayam Bakar Kerabu, Ikan Pari with Rice and of course, their yummy Hainanese steam Bread with Kaya and butter. continue reading
