We were the first customer for the day. Drinks and tomato soup being served hot after five minutes placing our order. In within fifteen minutes another three groups joined the day. Here came our food after another ten minutes but our pork ribs served were cold. Excuse me it was real cold ! Just imagine cold meat with a strong porky taste in the mouth which not to my tolerance level. Requested the waiter to hit it up for us and to our surprise his response was, the ribs were cold due to the time taken to take photo of it before consumption. What ??? A mere one minutes or less was the the reason of the cold ribs ? No choice but he had to take up our request and returned to us with a hot ribs after five minutes. Yet we can't do anything with the strong porky taste. While still dining, overheard another diner with the same request as mine to hit up the ribs ! Anyway, the chocolate mud-cake dessert was nice. The cake was warm with creamy ice cream topping.Perhaps not for me but only true porky lover. continue reading

Riblee's has kinda slipped off the culinary radar in recent years, but it remains a worthy stomping ground for anyone who's hunting for porcine pleasures. Roast pork roll. Crisp, brittle crackling, enveloping perfectly flavorsome meat. All things considered, the accompanying apple sauce is actually unnecessary. Desserts are not bad here. The chocolate mud cake is warm, moist and tastes fresh; it's surprisingly light too _ a nice change from the usual dense, decadent brownie types. Chocolate trifle with cherries & a tinge of unidentified booze. Marvelously mousse-ish. Apaltagna Cabernet Sauvignon (Colchagua Valley, 2006). continue reading
