Hokkien Mee is a thick noodle cooked in black soy sauce. The Hokkien Mee here was cooked with enough "wok hei", but i think it was too oily for me. The noodle has some pork pieces, pork liver, prawns, veggies and pork lard. The sauce was a bit salty for me also. My complain here is the other ingredients in the noodle, like the veggies and pork pieces are too little. The whole dish is just noodles with black salty sauce. The pork lard was not deep fried to crispy so the hokkien mee lack the aroma from the pork lard. continue reading
