There are two types of Loh Mee that you can find, one is the famous Ulu Yam Loh Mee with lots of soup, the other is Penang Loh Mee with thicker version of soup. The loh mee that you can find here actually is the Penang Loh Mee. The soup actually is quite similar to the Loh Bak sauce that we eat. Of course this soup has more ingredients and tastier. If you wanna enhance the taste, you can add in chilli to the soup.
Besides Loh Mee, this stall also sell Prawn Mee. Many people think that the secret behind the thick tasty soup is the boiled pig bones. Actually the prawn shells that have been boiled and ground up. The taste of prawn mix well with the pork bone, so you won't get any fishy smell in the soup.
If you don't know which soup you wanna choose, you can actually ask the owner to mix the soup. This is typical Penangite way of eating it.
