The first time I came to this restaurant was out of randomness. We didn't know which indian restaurant to pick for our banana leaf rice so we randomly picked this one. Liked it and came back a few more times after that The prices are reasonable and the best part about banana leaf rice is the refillable rice, curry & vege! All these for the price of one RM5 per set. A set consists of rice, three types of veges of the day, papadom (indian chips) and rasam (indian soup). Very reasonable i would reckon. You can add on meat or eggs if you want. Prices are about RM7-10 for a plate of meat (depending on type of meat of course). I would definitely recommend this place for big eaters...you'll eat till you drop!Oh and I loved the lassi (yogurt drink) there! Tried the mango and it was good! Apparently our PM, Dato' Sri Najib had also eaten here before and on one of the walls they have a huge photo of our PM in the restaurant framed and titled 'Najib's Corner'. Haha. So it's pretty well known in that sense i guess. On the other hand however, the cleanliness is not really up to par. It's pretty dirty with tissues and occasional cockroach appearance on the floor. They should really buck up on their cleanliness. continue reading

This place is very crowded with lots of Indian Muslims and most of the eateries there are serving same range of food, from roti canai to western food. For a quick meal, I order a plate of mee goreng with fried egg on top. It is quite spicy with hints of sweetness from the tomato. A zest of lime is good for the crunchy noodles to taste a little sour and spicy. The egg is nicely done, a little raw but goes well with the noodle. The only thing I dislike is the portion that comes too small. continue reading
