Long time not eating chinese hokkien fried noodle already. We decided to have it as dinner tonight! Here we go Kedai Kopi Sin Kong USJ Taipan for fried noodle! We have ordered 福建面 (thick noodle) and 福建伊面 (thin noodle)! They are cooking together with vegetables! It is tasty and delicious! Thumbs up! That's the local food where the local Chinese people love this food always! The boss is good in providing customer service. They can remember whatever you have ordered without writing down! Amazing me

Came by to take away (ta pau) breakfast on one lazy weekend.I ordered the Wan Tan Mee, as it is among the better dishes offered in this coffeeshop at Taipan USJ.After ordering it, I drove home straight to unpack it so it is still fresh and hot when I start eating it. The noodles are very springy and cooked well. It is also flavoured with a nice balance of soya sauce and dark sauce, without being too salty or too sweet.

The wantan were packed together with the noodles, which is a bit unusual. However, it is still delicious as the wantan here have a decent amount of fillings, compared to many other hawker centre's wantan.

The cha siew (bbq pork) was also yummy as it was crispy on the skin and flavourful on the inside.

A great breakfast to start the lazy day!

Went to this coffeeshop for pork noodles recently. As always, one of the main attractions of pork noodle for me was always the pork innards as I am quite a fan of it.The bowl of pork noodles did not take too long to arrive, around 15 minutes which was normal for any stalls operating on a busy weekday lunch crowd. When it first arrived, I could tell that it will not be that good. When it first arrived, I could tell that it will not be that good. This was because I cannot see any minced pork meat on the surface of the broth. After my first spoonful of soup, I was right. When the broth is not cooked in high heat for long enough, somehow it does not bring the flavour of the pork out.

I ordered the kuey teow + mee combination. The kuey teow was passable, not very rough but not the smoothest too. The yellow noodle as usual has some lye water smell but still acceptable.

This bowl comes with the usuals that you will expect from pork noodles, like minced pork, pork meatballs, slices of pork, vegetables and pork innards. At the very least, the innards were given quite generously. As a conclusion, it was nothing special, just OK.

One of the few things that I rarely eat in coffeeshops is mixed rice. I took 4 different dishes to be eaten with my rice. The first vegetable was lady's fingers. They were quite alright, as the lady's fingers were cooked quite sufficiently and not too raw.

The next vegetable was the salted vegetables. It was well salted, and quite aromatic. It goes very well with the rice, as it is quite salty.

There was the anchovies sambal, which was quite spicy. The anchovies were very fresh as they were still crispy.

Finally, the dried chilli pork. It was not as spicy as I expected, despite the huge amount of dried chilli that they have added in. It was a little salty, but mixed with the rice it was edible.

For RM4.50, I was surprised how cheap this dish was, especially since this coffeeshop is located at USJ Taipan.

Visit USJ Taipan is always a hassle, as there is always so little car park, and so much jam. But today, I guess I have no choice as I had to drop by the bank for a visit, in which it is located at Taipan. For lunch, I stopped by a nearby busy Sin Kung coffeeshop. Sure enough, when the dish arrived it looked very interesting indeed. The duck is served on a plate on top of flame. The flame keeps the dish piping hot, until even the gravy was boiling. I was worried that the meat may burn, as the flame was quite big. Fortunately, the hawker was smart enough to put lots of gravy to ensure that the meat will not burn.
The problem with the flame was because there were some wind, the flame was moving slightly out of the dish, and I could feel the heat close to my face when I was eating.

The duck meat itself was quite nice, as it is smooth and full of duck aroma. However, I find that the gravy was strange. It was a mixture of both sweet and salty. In fact the gravy was diluted, so the taste of the gravy was not strong. This is true, especially after mixing the gravy with the rice.

I ordered extra egg to go with the dish. The egg was flavourful, as it was probably boiled with the gravy for quite some time. For RM7, it is a little pricey for hawker food. The hawker was thoughtful to prepare fire to keep the dish warm, although the gravy was a little let down.
