I was looking for something cost-concious as lunch, since pockets were nearly empty due to the fact that it is mid month. I decided to head over to Eat & Happy Yong Tau Foo to have their set. Costing at RM7.90 for a bowl of noodles and three pieces of yong tau foo, I guess it was quite reasonable. The dry meehoon is acceptable, though a bit dry. The yong tau foo was slightly cold, probably due to the air-conditioning in the mall. I asked them for a bowl of hot soup to dip my yong tau fu in it. With that, it was more bearable. continue reading

Eat and Happy Yong Tau Foo. I love the fish paste as well as the fish balls which was really good and the soup is simply indulging and savory too. I love the bee hoon texture and the fried minced meat ball. They have a huge variety to choose from and the deep fried stuff are fried again before serving! The portion of the yong tau foo was generous too for the price we had payed for it. continue reading

It was already 2.45pm and I haven't had my lunch yet. After going to the post office, I thought of going to Paradigm Mall where there's sure to be parking space and to hide in an air con filled place. I saw this yong tau fu place previously and wanted to try it. Now's my chance. I took the RM7.90 option, which entitle to 3pcs of yong tau fu and a plate of noodles. They also have different choices of noodles to choose from. In the end I chose kuey teow and mee combination in dry sauce. The noodles taste quite nice for a stall in a shopping mall. But the yong tau fu was wayyyyyy too cold! It's not even room temperature, it was really COLD! Nonetheless I ate it. The more interesting one is tau fu pok with fish paste, carrot and spring onion. It's nice too. The fried wantan and fried fish cake wasn't bad. Prolly next time I'll ask them to prepare a bowl of soup for me to go with the cold yong taufu... continue reading
