We walked around and decided to have our brunch at Dome Café, Pavilion. At first the services was good, but we've waited for our meal more than 30 minutes. We thought it was okay, BUT the food was not up to expectation. There was like ONE staff in the restaurant to serve around when there’s others hidden behind the service line.Indeed, it is a good place to have a chitchat session with the girls. At first it looked very pleasant. However, the vegetables tasted quite bland for me.It was big in portion where my friend couldn't finish it. The flavor and spiciness is just right for me. It is quite oily for me as I don’t really like oily food. Overall, it was a good dish. continue reading

Generally, I don't eat heavy meal before I perform on stage. So before my gig last night at Pavilion, I decided to just pop into Dome for a quick meal. After studying their menu, I picked the wild mushroom soup. I have never tasted the food at this chain before but looking at other tables, food looked promising. Before long my aromatic bowl of soup arrived on the table, piping hot. This may not look like much, but the bowl is pretty deep. The soup is pretty thick with tiny bits of mushrooms (I like it this way), the flavour is earthy, savoury, with a hint of garlic and cheese. The croutons were perfectly crispy and matched well with the soup. Here's a closer look. Unfortunately, it got a little too creamy for me halfway through so I had to stop. Have to say it was quite filling too because I didn't feel hungry for the rest of the night. RM18 might be a little expensive but the service was attentive and friendly. continue reading

Dome cafe, famous for its "World best coffee" is not what i look for when i visit them but is definitely this dish - The Gourmet Chicken Pie, I like it because the way how it is presented and the method of having these pie. There is a cup of sauce with chicken meat and some mushroom in it, then the pie is placed right on top of the cup, then as you use your fork and knife to cut the pie it will fall inside the cup and here you go enjoy the chicken pie. Some sideline there is some corn, tomato and broccoli that add some Vege sense to this dish, i like the portion of this dish but however some added vegetable perhaps can add more points to this dish. Staff are generally quick and helpful, waiting time is not very high though. continue reading

Not all Domes are created equal. Pavilion's outlet seems breezier and more inviting than its counterparts elsewhere, but the food feels inferior. The Pesto Caesar Salad appeared extremely unattractive ... but hey, unskinned chicken is healthier, right? Sadly, the salad was bland beyond words. The Big Breakfast made us doubt the kitchen crew's competence. They totally botched the eggs. But the hash brown was nice and crisp, while the ham and sausages were perfect. A hearty serving of muesli with yoghurt and assorted fruits capped what might look like breakfast, but was in fact dinner. Green tea and a Berry Bliss concoction of fruit puree, milk and yoghurt. continue reading
