Fortune corner is the restaurant selling Chinese cruisine and famous of its bak kut teh. One set of bak kut teh including a bowl of rice cost me around RM 15. But I have to say that the bak kut teh was nice! It comes with pork rib ,tofu and varieties of pork intestine and it cooks with herbs and spice for a long time before serve. Fortune Corner also sells some light refreshment such as puff pastry, fruits, dim sum, etc. We ordered the sesame seed balls to try. The sesame seed balls were priced at M3.80++ for two pieces. The sesame seed balls were quite big, and the filling inside was the red bean paste. Although the sesame seed ball was big, the red bean paste inside was very little. The sesame seed ball was a bit oily too.

The mixed rice dishes in Fortune Corner were pretty good. The portion was big and the quality is there. My aunt picked a fried fish, a asam fish, stir fried french beans, half a salted egg, peanuts and cucumber for the mixed rice. The cost was RM19.00. I would say the price is justifiable based on the dishes she picked. The asam fish was very tasty, and the fried fish was very big and fresh.

After collecting our food, on the way to the cashier there were a few drink dispensers. The cups are organized neatly near the dispenser for customers. I picked the guava juice. The guava juice was quite good. Although i can't tell for sure it was 100% fresh guava juice because it tasted nice. Anyhow, my logic thinking would remind me that this is an expensive place and it is more logical that they served diluted juice instead of 100% fresh juice. Sometimes it is hard to find good food with reasonable price tag in Genting. Perhaps one of the better place will be the Fortune Corner in the Monte Carlo Casino. The food court is just next to the gambling actions. We ordered the bak kut teh for one person. The bak kut teh is a mixture of lean and fat pork slices, pork intestines, pork stomach and tau fu pok. The taste of the bak kut teh was quite good, full of herbal and spices taste. The soup however gets cold quickly due to the cold weather.
