Assorted fried dimsums Cry Sep 24, 2013   (Related Review)

The assorted fried dimsums in Clan Dim Sum Restaurant were very dissapointing sad they were cold and soggy and wasn't even tender or crispy. trying to cut them into smaller pieces were tough as well since the dim sums were hardened after leaving alone for a long period of time. we made a big mistake of ordering so many fried dimsums so in the end we couldn't finish them at all.

Lo Bak Gou OK Sep 24, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum

Lo baak gou is basically turnip cake itself. it consisted of shredded daikon radish and is mixed with rice flour. It has a distinctive taste as it is flavored with ham, sausage, shrimp, or other vegetables before being pressed into cakes and fried. They're called turnip cakes, but are technically made with radish.

I really liked having this for my dimsum brunch meals because this lo bak gou itself is already quite filling on its own, and when warmly served, the crust is crispy and the texture is chewy as well.

Charcoal Nuggeto Smile Sep 24, 2013

this was what my friend ordered when we were having lunch one day.
Charcoal nuggeto basically meant charcoal-cooked chicken nugget pieces. the chicken meat has this roasted carcoal aftertaste and smell as well, so its actually more flavorful that the usual ones. the chicken meat is also glazed with this tangy soury sauce and sesame seeds are added as well to complement the overall flavor.

it is served with Arisan's signature sweet potatoes too smile

Chicken McRib OK Sep 24, 2013

First time trying the new Chicken McRib at Mcdonalds!
The McRib was surprisingly quite taste and it had this burst of unforgettable flavor in the golden chicken patty, all soaked in a mouthwatering sweet and tangy sauce. it was also topped with crunchy, silvered onions and pickles, in between an oblong cornmeal bun. i liked the overall burger although i wish it wasn't so small :/

Fish set with rice OK Sep 24, 2013   (Related Review)

this is what i ordered for myself at In House Cafe. I ordered fish because i thought it was healthier lol. it turns out the fish meat was crisp fried like fish nuggets.. just that this is bigger in size. it was surprisingly soft and i could cut the fish meat easilly but it was also quite soggy and cold. the sauce that came with it is Hawaiian sauce which tasted pretty much like sweet and sour sauce, except it was tangier and had this lemon-ish taste.
