Pineapple Fried Rice, “Khow Ob Sapparod” | RM9 per serving

If I hadn't had a look at the menu, I wouldn't have known that this was actually fried rice with pineapple. As the name suggests, I would assume it was to have pineapple in the rice. If you have the same expectation as I did, please be disappointed because I could hardly tell that it was fried pineapple rice. There were probably traces of pineapple but I don't think I ate any. Pineapple aside, the rice was a tad soggy, but not oily at all. I would say it tasted okay, and very mediocre.

This was fragrant and i could literally smell coconut milk the moment they served this. It was very rich and you could taste the serai (lemongrass) that they used in this. The serving would be enough for two and i would have to say that it was pretty huge for the price I have to pay. The mantou was fried and dipping it inside the curry before eating it is so yummy!

This was spare ribs cooked with sour plum sauce which was really fragrant. The meat was tender and juicy especially when you bite into it. The red wine flavour was pretty strong and it definitely complimented the ribs very well.

I think it would be great to have this with a bowl of steaming white rice!

Ooh, runny egg yolks are my favourite! Jelly eggs, I'm used to calling them that. This was served in Chinese soup spoon which made me stuff the whole half of an egg into my mouth. It was a bit too salty though. There was not a single evidence of it being smoked beforehand. It was rather a disappointment to be honest.

This was so odd, yet it looked so delicious. The winter melon were chopped into blocks shape and it was stacked up. Pretty cute presentation of food. This was definitely unique, there was spicy and sweet together at the same time. Oh, not to mention a slight sourish taste from the mild vinegar sprinkled all over this sweet delightful blocks.
