The only spot that you can eat and eat without any guilt for your diet plan, because everything is healthier and greener at ...
The Salad Bar !

Once you step into the cafe, the smell of green vegetable fill your nostril and colorful fruits to please your eyes, what else you can ask for when you are going on a diet!
Yum Yum ! All the guilt free food !!!

If the Ala Carte Salad is not good enough for you, you would even

CREATE YOUR OWN 2-3-1 SALAD.

You may choose 2 greens, 3 toppings (boiled egg, carrots, olive, sweet corn and etc) and of course 1 dressing for it.

I had the salad with the honey mustard dressing, which I dont remember what the name of it. * >.< *

So I shall call it the Honey Mustard Salad then.

The salad comes with pinch size of greens, slices of hotdog, sprinkle of corn flakes, pitted prunes, half of a boiled egg and also a slice of garlic bread.

I personally like the garlic bread much, cause it really felt like garlic bread with the garlic aftertaste in your mouth, unlike the others that smell garlicky but doesnt taste garlicky. * Hahaha Big Fan of Garlic and Onion * The honey mustard dressing was a little bit bland, more honey and mustard could be added in to enhance the flavour of it. Overall the salad was very flavoursome and nutritious too !

Next guilt free food in line to be chomped is the

Turkey Club Sandwich.

Turkey Club Sandwich is the slice of turkey ham tucked in the wholemeal bread with the chef`s special sauce. Nom nom ...

The combination of turkey ham sandwich with the chef`s special sauce has a very piquant taste that is very appetizing for a hungry people like me ! Even the sandwich has a very garlicky taste too ! * Hahah *

The Spicy Chicken Pasta was definitely not my favourite.

Actually we ordered the Spicy Aglio Olio pasta but the cashier keyed in wrongly, so we ended up with the Spicy Chicken Pasta. * haish *

The pasta was very spicy and hot for me, and the pasta felt pretty much like the Braised Yee Mee, thats all I can say about this dish ! HahHA. So a big no no for this !

The name of the drink was very attractive and unique indeed like purple glitter, banana hunny, grape pines, cholestrol buster, green monster and etc. All are in the price range of Boost and JuiceWorks.

I had this Purple Glitter Smoothie that improves digestion and lowers blood pressure. It was made up of fresh dragonfruit, lemon and homemade yogurt. Apparently their homemade yogurt was quite popular but too bad we are in a hurry so dont get to try it out. To be honest, the smoothie was not up to the standard of Boost nor Juicework, as it was quite insipid. It was not bad actually, but I still prefer to have it thicker.

The place was very cozy and looking clean with the bright and cheerful combination of color for their wallpaper. They have their wall embellished with spoon and fork looking mirror which was very creative and out of ordinary.

I am sure if you are a person who likes to hang out at Mid Valley or Garden, you would be aware of the existent of this exclusive looking restaurant, located right beside the escalator coming out from the carpark.

Well, I would always be engrossed by the chocolates, macarons and scones laying on the display and literally stop and stare for a second or two. Hahaha * definitely have a sweet tongue *

But I never dare to step into the place due to the expensive looking embellishment and so on. As for today, I walking tall into the restaurant with a voucher that cost ONLY RM 20 per person, for a full course meal with bottomless juices. * super duper excited *

The first thing we do, when were given the menu was to check the food pricing, and to my surprise it wasnt that dramatic after all. It was in the range of standard restaurant which is RM 20 - 40 for the main course.

Anyways, the voucher comes with a bowl of soup, main course (lamb shank or dory fish or chicken), dessert and bottomless juices.

I am not so sure what ingredient in the soup but all I know is that it was AWESOME !

It was neither too thick nor too bland, the vegetable was all blend very well together and it flows smoothly right into your throat without leaving anything behind. And it has the refreshing tomatoes flavour but not too strong making it too sour to drink and also having the other vegetables to complement the flavour, putting together a flavoursome yet refreshing appetizer.

Since RM 20 voucher comes with the option of getting Lamb Shank, why not ?

I can tell you the Lamb Shank is a very huge portion of lamb laying on a bed of potatoes.

The Lamb Shank was cooked to perfection with tender and juicy meat, that is just nice to be eaten with the potatoes and gravy. One thing happy and fulfilling was to know that the Lamb Shank was very fleshy, aint any Lamb Shank that has 80% fats and only 20% eatable meat.

Other than being mouth-watering, the presentation of it was very delicate and clean to feast the eye.

The Honey Grilled Chicken with butter rice comes with a big piece of chicken thigh, rectangular scoop of rice, and some vegetable to add color to the dish.

I am not a big fan of eating chicken with bones, but I am amazed by myself that I finished everything on the chicken. The chicken was very nicely grilled into a stage that the meat are still soft and juicy, blanketed by the crispy skin from the outside, trapping the honey flavoured meat inside without losing the sweetness in it.
* Thumbs Up GOOD !! *

As for the butter rice, it has to be eaten with the chicken and also the chili sauce provided else it would be quite dry and bland.

We ordered the French Fries simply because it comes with variety of dip. * HAHAH *

And I was craving for THICK FAT FRENCH FRIES too !

The dip includes tartar sauce, ketchup and the green one was wasabi blend with mayonnaise. It was a pretty interesting combination that giving a smoother kick in the throat, compare to the usual wasabi.

The free dessert that comes with the voucher wasnt that great. It was literally a big lump of sago soaked in coconut milk and a dallop of whipped cream on top. I only had two bite and that`s all.

Since the dessert wasnt appealing nor yummy enough, we ordered the Molten Lava Cake which was recommended by quite a lot of blogger in their review.

The Molten Lava Cake was superb with all the chocolate lava flowing out of it once you cut it. The chocolate flowing out of it was neither too bittersweet nor thick, it was very smooth flowing down your throat with the cottony and soft texture of the cake.

The place looks very fancy and all but one thing I was shocked to know is that the white table cloth was actually a white piece of paper. I was like " Seriously ? ", such a fancy place yet they couldnt put actual table cloth but a piece of white paper as table cloth ?

Other than the table cloth, it has a very quiet and private dining environment, as it was located right at the corner which not much people passing by. So if you want some candle light dinner, here would be a suitable choice. Everything was very clean and tidy, near to perfection.

Dining like a Master ! Smile Aug 15, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

Lets dine like a master at this kinky looking Japanese Maid Restaurant.

Tenshi no Cafe have the place all painted in pink, giving a very kawaii and girly feeling. Besides sakura plants was placed to embellish the place, giving it a more Japanese restaurant ambiance, as tho you are dining at Japan. If you ever realize, there are window in the restaurant, which you could rarely see it in restaurant. I am guessing the windows are to portray a home alike impression, just like the theme of a maid cafe.

To enhance the homely experience, customer will have a choice of dining on normal dining table or on the comfy looking couch, with anime printed on each of the cushion.

On top of the Japanese style decoration, there was anime playing throughout the day. I aint such a big fan of anime, I personally find it annoying. So for anime fans, they not only can dine at there, yet can have TV dinner too !!

Katsu Curry Don was a dish of chicken fillet resting on top of the rice with Japanese curry surrounding it. To add a bit of colour to the dish, few red cherry and celery were added to it. The aromatic smell of spices in the curry did made me drool a bit. * LMAO * It was really very tempting with the smell of curry filling your airway, before you even digging into it.

There was chunks of potatoes and carrots came along with the curry, in adding sweetness to the curry, making it very flavorsome and thick. I could even eat plain rice with the curry ONLY, nothing but the curry only! You might be surprise to know that, cause my spicy food tolerance level was very low, but this curry was not as spicy as it is, it was quite sweet indeed.

The Couple Hangout Bento comes in a very small portion, I am guessing it is meant for kids. * =( * You would be definitely still be voraciously hungry if you are a big eater. So dont even be fooled by the presentation of it, and order for something that is not fulfilling your stomach at all.

Okay, this cute little kiddo bento has rice that was mold into two cute little bears, there was one with a bow on the ear too !! Its so adorable !! The bento comes with cutlet of Teriyaki chicken and some fruits too, and all are lying on a layer of egg strips.

To complete the meal, we ordered the Double Decker Ice-Cream as our dessert. The ice-cream was nothing fancy and special about it, it feels pretty much like Walls ice-cream you can buy from supermarket. Whipped cream with colorful rice candies were used to top the ice-cream up to enhance the coloring of it. Well I personally prefer the cottony soft whipped cream than the ice-cream tho.

Market Looking Restaurant Smile Aug 15, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops

Marche is a very unique looking restaurant with the place look pretty much like a market which all the raw food placed on the baskets.

The variety of food there aint much but it was delicious. Once you enter the place, there will be a card given to you to purchase your food. Every dish that you ordered, the staff will stamp it on your card and the bill will be paid once you are about to leave the restaurant. So dont just stamp and stamp without checking the price cause you might ended up with a hole in your purse.

The rostti there was my all time favourite, simply because I am a big fan of potatoes !! It was the best to eat with the cream cheese that comes with it.

The pizza has a thin crust and there was a lot of filling on it which is the way I like it to be.

The chicken was very well roasted, not overcooked nor too raw. You can literally feel the juice flowing out of it, when you lay your teeth on it. Nom Nom

Besides, they serve crepe there too which is also another favourite of mine. The filling inside was so compact that doesnt crumble all over the place, making you feel like finishing it up all by yourself.

Chatime, the best Bubble Milk Tea Smile Aug 15, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Halal | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

Chatime has the best bubble milk tea that I ever tried. My very first time taking the Japanese Matcha Tea Latte and I was astonished that it was superb and compatible with the Green Tea Latte at Starbucks. On top of that, customer get to choose the sugar and ice level depending on the customer`s preference. Well with this customization I dont have to add in water myself to make it not so sweet. There were variety of topping to be added in and my favourite would be Aloe Vera cause it is sweet and good for skin !! haha
