Having moved to Miri a year ago, i was constantly in search of a shop selling good and tasty noodles. After countless disappointments in various kopitiams, i finally found one of the best noodle shops in Miri!Grandpa's homemade noodles are served in either Medium or Large sizes. (I always order large...it is THAT good). The noodles, tossed in a little oil and their secret soya sauce mixture, are firm and springy. They are further flavoured with barbecued pork (char siew) and crispy roasted pork

Having moved to Miri a year ago, i was constantly in search of a shop selling good and tasty noodles. After countless disappointments in various kopitiams, i finally found one of the best noodle shops in Miri!

Grandpa's homemade noodles are served in either Medium or Large sizes. (I always order large...it is THAT good). The noodles, tossed in a little oil and their secret soya sauce mixture, are firm and springy. They are further flavoured with barbecued pork (char siew) and crispy roasted pork and topped with sprinkles of spring onions. Oh, and they come with a little bowl of soup as well.

They have other dishes like the curry noodles and wantan noodles but i have yet to try them out. Every time i go to the shop, i will order the homemade noodles. It’s become an addiction. A mouth watering addiction.

They also serve a variety of freshly brewed local drinks like herbal tea (liang teh) and barley. The drinks are not mixed with sugar prior to being served to you. You are provided with a little bottle of liquid sugar to customize the sweetness of your drink.
They also have roti kahwin (plain bread with butter and kaya). While the roti kahwin is nothing to shout about, i like that they are generous with the spread of the butter and kaya.

If you do happen to be in the vicinity of Kuala Baram, do drop by the shop and give it a try. And you might just be pleasantly surprised at how good the noodles taste.
