Teng Chai Porridge. It took quite a while for the owner to serve the porridge. It was quite a big bowl and it was so hot. The white porridge was topped with some crispy fried meehoon pieces, spring onions, ginger, century eggs and anchovies. Although they were all simple ingredients, it did make the bland porridge very flavourful. I love the crispy fried meehoon that gave a salty crunchy texture to the smooth porridge. The anchovies were salty, while the ginger was gingerly-spicy.
