Went to Kepong the other day to buy some archery stuff, and chanced upon this shop. Named Hometown Ban Mian, they serve a selection of pan mee cooked in different styles. Went to Kepong the other day to buy some archery stuff, and chanced upon this shop. Named Hometown Ban Mian, they serve a selection of pan mee cooked in different styles. However, the one that caught my eye was the pig stomach pepper soup pan mee. I was afraid that this type of pinched noodle would be undercooked, but I was wrong. Served in a claypot bowl, the noodle was springy and texture was very appealing. The soup itself was heavenly, just how a pepper soup should taste like. Piping hot, the soup can be quite spicy for some. The pan mee comes with a generous helping of pork meat and pig stomach, garnished with some spring onions. It is really too bad that Kepong is so far away from my place and the parking is horrendous, else this would probably be the place I would frequent for a satisfying weekend lunch. Priced at RM9.80 a bowl, it might be called expensive by some, but to me it is well worth the money.
