It's a shame that Ecogreen is located at a not-so-visible spot in TTDI (behind the row of pubs and bars, same row as Restoran OK), as it serves some amazing organic dishes. I passed by this restaurant a few times while on the way to the jamming studio we frequent, and never thought much of it. But my friend brought me there one day and I was pleasant surprised. Firstly, this is not a vegetarian restaurant although it is both vegan and vegetarian friendly. All the ingredients are organic and contains no nasty additives. We ordered a drink with Chia seeds to share. (Chia seeds are rich in Omega 3, calcium, phosphorus, manganese and dietary fibre. Good source of protein too).

The drink arrived in a cute jar with 2 mini martini glasses. It was refreshing, slightly sweet and you need to stir it a little to evenly distribute the seeds. Very good start to our meal.

My friend high recommends the Lemongrass salad and boy was it amazing! I couldn't tell some of the ingredients but there were some rice puffs, chopped up lemongrass, fennel (I think), black sesame seeds and more. The flavours just work fabulously and it's so incredibly aromatic. The leaves were for wrapping up the salad. Everyone should order this. Unless you don't like lemongrass.

Upon staff's recommendation, I ordered the signature creamy fish laksa. I don't normally order Laksa other than the Sarawak version, and I think this was a Nyonya version, nevertheless this surprised me, in a good way. Even thought it says creamy in the title, the broth was just right, with good amount of "rempah", a little bit of kick, and plenty of aromatic herbs, which I like. My only gripe is that overcooked egg (with the greyish ring around the outside, but that is just my personal pet peeve). The portion is rather large though so I actually couldn't finish it.

I am eagerly waiting for an opportunity for a revisit because I really want to try their Lui Cha. Come to think of it, I might go this Friday when I'm working in TTDI!
