We had hot tea cooled by throwing tea between two mugs. The vernacular being 'teh tarik' or pulling tea between two mugs to cool and create a head of froth on the tea.
Red bean soup or kacang merah. With hint of tangy orange skin.
Shaved ice with peanuts and brown sugar or "ice kacang" was yummy with lots of sugar and sweet condiments.
Chendol or green jelly with shaved ice and green jelly.
The range of food at nyonya colours. Lots of kuih muih from Malaysian nyonya cultures. We enjoyed the light afternoon tea & chose not to have cakes this time. Very crowded. You have to find your own seat. We managed to get table 22 for 5 people.
