One of the Original Kayu Nasi Kandar branch is located at Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara. It started out with a stall at a coffee shop in SS2 Chow Yang here back in 1974 and grew to become one of the most popular “Mamak” restaurants in Klang Valley and Penang. It started out with a stall at a coffee shop in SS2 Chow Yang here back in 1974 and grew to become one of the most popular “Mamak” restaurants in Klang Valley and Penang. Today, from the little stall around the corner, many such eateries have envolved into much bigger establishments with some owning chains of restaurants that carry same name.
I have ordered ready made Fried Rice and Teh Tarik as my breakfast. The fried rice is just normal only, but the Teh Tarik is really aromatic and taste good. Overall, the food is expensive compare with other normal mamak shop. But with their quality of food and nice environment, I think is worth the money.
