New Paris is a very popular Chinese restaurant situated near SS2 Mall. It's always very busy and packed and the turnover is super quick. But the most impressive thing about New Paris is that even if they are packed to the brim, the dishes you order always comes out almost immediately. I have peeked into their kitchen and they actually do cook the dishes to order, but the kitchen team is massive! Whoever is running that kitchen is a genius I must say. This is somewhere we go when we want a quick meal. Even when the dishes are cooked so fast, the taste definitely does not compromise. Some of my friends has actually dubbed this place as "Chinese fast food". So during our last visit, these were the food we ordered.
Claypot Tofu, with plenty of mixed vegetables. Tasty and fresh. I love the piping hot and smooth tofu, goes very well with rice. One thing of note is their in house chili sauce (next to the dish) that is hot and sour and incredibly addictive.
Kangkung with belacan. Another dish that is done well. Crunchy, umami, delicious.
Their spare ribs were recommended by the service staff and this was the winner. The pork was tender, matches really well with that sweet and savoury sauce. I might have had some extra rice with that. Yum.It's no wonder New Paris is doing so well. Their formula simply works!
