Gobble gobble! KL's first turkey specialist restaurant is now cooped up in Sri Petaling, serving a smorgasbord of singular turkey recipes all year round. German-style 1-kilogram jumbo turkey drumstick. An awe-inspiring behemoth that could be mistaken for a pork knuckle at first sight. Fairly tender, a bit bloody near the bone, with crisp, flavorful skin that we couldn't get enough of. Still, the flesh is more than sufficient to feed three famished customers (!). Turkey curry with turkey rice.
Turkey curry with turkey rice. Another hit; the turkey in this preparation tasted eerily similar to pork, soaked in a spicy, savory curry that was all-out addictive. We loved the fluffy, fragrant rice too, reminiscent of chicken rice in the best possible fashion. Turkey sui kow. A tad less tasty than the ones at the best yong tau foo outlets, but still an interesting change from the norm. Well-prepared enough, with a pleasant crunch.
